A Community Forum on Immigration and Racial Discrimination
Dear Friends,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in a community forum on immigration and racial discrimination. Hosted by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and in partnership with organizations committed to the elimination of racial discrimination in British Columbia, the forum will feature a keynote address by His Excellency Artur Wilczynski, Canada’s Ambassador to Norway.
This forum stands against the recent incidents of racial discrimination towards newcomers and the alarming trend of racially-charged sentiments in the media, and their negative impact on newcomers, immigrants and long-time residents. We invite you, along with other partners, leaders and communities, to participate in the reaffirmation of our shared values and acknowledge the historic contribution of immigrants to the prosperity of B.C.
Event details are as follows:
Date: Wednesday, February 22, 2017
Time: Forum begins at 1:30pm and reception to follow at 5:30pm
Venue: UBC Robson Square (800 Robson Street, Vancouver)
