This post about the upcoming BC Soccer elections next month. There is a contested race for President between Kjeld Brodsgaard and Aiman Al Raimany. Chris Appleby is running unopposed for VP Finance and long time VP Youth Rob Lennox is running unopposed for VP Youth. 4 people are running again for Directors, Chuck Bennett, Don Dancey, Carlos Grosso and Ed Kennedy.
Its seems like Lennox, Dancey and Kennedy have been on the Board forever.
The BC Soccer Board members do not get paid, not even an honorarium, unlike Board members of several local leagues. There are some perks, such as travelling at BCSA's dime to national championships and to CSA meetings. Some Board members volunteer a lot of their time and some put in little time.
Candidates can be nominated from the floor at the AGM.
