Here's a list that I'm partial to (in no particular order)...

Have yourself a merry little Christmas - The Pretenders
Feliz Navidad - Boney M :D
The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - U2
Do they know its Christmas - U2
White Christmas - Frank Sinatra
So this is Christmas - John Lennon
12 days of Christmas - Bob & Doug :D

There's more but that's what I've heard that I recall tonight... anyone else?

Cheers,

~Regs.

OD,

That's playing here right now! Nice :D

Zenga,

Brenda Lee and Bon Jovi are good as well that I know... basically anything off of that one particular Christmas CD that I can't remember the name of right now [it included Run DMC (Christmas in Holly?) and Madonna (Santa Baby)]...

How about this one:

That's What Christmas Means To Me - Stevie Wonder

Classic, though the neighbours probably don't think so right about now :D

You can't argue with the power combo of Boney M and Rasputin singing "Mary's Boy Child". One of my favourites.
I think the White Christmas version by Bing Crosby is better than Frank's though.

shoc-king

Do they know its Christmas - U2
Actually, Regs, that was by Band Aid in 1985 which, of course, was back in the day U2 were relevant so I'll let you off. I wish you'd cut the crap, however. A top quality Chrimbo song is 'One Christmas Catalogue' by Captain Sensible.

I find it difficult to believe Saint hasn't waded in with his all-time favourite 'Last Christmas' by Wham. He mustn't be up yet.

outrageous..........

I cannot fcuking believe I forgot about Driving Home for Christmas. That'll learn me to be staggering around Picadilly Circus at 3:00 in the morning on a school night.

That is the definitive Chrimbo classic. It's so good we listened to it on the beach down Locarno last August. Genius.

It just isn't Christmas without it.

Well, my all time favorite Christmas song has to be "Blue Christmas" by Porky Pig. Then there is Eric Cartmans rendition of "Oh Holy Night." You know? The one where Stan shocks him with the cattle prod when he forgets the words and he turns into an opera singer? Very nice.:D

Here's a link to Cartmans "Oh Holy Night". Scroll to the bottom and click on ohholynight.wav to download it.:D

White Christmas....

by Bing Crosby and David Bowie. Just because the video is beta quality porn. It's also not a bad ditty.

A Classic ...

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet ...

John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" (often mistakenly called "So this is Christmas")

Hardly obscure, but a classic nonetheless.

Oh, and if anyone even THINKS about mentioning that seasonally overplayed annoyance "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" ... I will fcuking throttle you!

I stand corrected ...

Sorry Regs, but as I'm sure you can appreciate, I've been slightly preoccupied with my current work on the December newsletter for the Canadian Counsel against Italians defending Persians. It's a work in progress tentatively entitled "Your rite. Its true. I was their." I'm hoping to have a draft ready for review in the Div 1B thread before the end of the week. My apologies on the oversight, but you know what the Scots are like ;)

I am not Jewish, but I love that Hanucka Song

Adam Sandler is a Classic, but I don't think I would ever go see his new annimated X-Mas Movie.

Best Line, "Drink your Gin'n'Tonica, and Smoke your Marijanica"

Perhaps the most frequently uttered statement in any Scotsmen's life. Though some of us choose the correct spelling of "Scottish". However, why spend all your "T's" in one go? ;)
