Peter Schaad has done an outstanding job, imho, of being "The Voice" of the Caps for the last 5-6 years (or longer)

I'd like to hear him calling the games, however he works for Pattison Broadcasting on the Peak FM, which is a competitor of Chum...

I don't believe it was an issue in the past as Schaad was working for the Whitecaps and not the Team/Shaw etc as the Caps were paying to have their games broadcast then, now they are being paid for the right to broadcast by the media outlets... so I'd assume Schaad would then become an employee of the Team in order to do this?...

anyone work in radio out there maybe could fill me in?

Team Radio announce Whitecaps FC Game day on air team
Vancouver Whitecaps FC are pleased to announce that Peter Schaad will again be the voice of the Blue and White. Schaad will be the play-by-play commentator for Team 1410 radio and will bring you the action from every game live in our first season in Major League Soccer.

Schaad returns for his seventh season with Whitecaps FC, and has been described by Bobby Lenarduzzi as one of the best soccer play-by-play announcers in North America. Schaad considers Jim Robson as one of his sports broadcasting heroes, and recalls dreaming of being the Whitecaps FC play-by-play guy ever since he was a kid.

Former Canadian international and Vancouver 86ers goalkeeper Paul Dolan will work alongside Schaad as the colour commentator. Dolan has prior experience as a play-by-play and colour commentator on television for Shaw Cable, CBC Sports, and Fox Sports World Canada, while he has also worked with Team 1040 radio in the past.

Joey Kenward will be the Match Day host for Whitecaps FC games this season. Despite being the former voice for major junior hockey's Vancouver Giants, and a play-by-play announcer for the NHL's Vancouver Canucks, Kenward is an active member of the British Columbia soccer community, where he serves as a match official at various levels. Scott Rintoul will also be a featured host on Whitecaps FC match days. The co-host of the 'Scotty and Ray' morning show on TEAM 1040, Rintoul also plays soccer locally in his spare time.

The Match Day reporters will be Tyler Green and Mike Martignago. Green and Martignago have been co-hosts of 'Full-Time: Vancouver's Soccer Show' on the TEAM 1040 since its inception two-and-a-half years ago. Green will also serve as the producer of the Whitecaps FC daily show on TEAM 1410 this season.

Prediciticable...

... not very fresh and/or exciting. Shadd play by play is okay I guess. I had no issues with him before and Dolan is a great signing for colour, but I was kinda of hoping for something new and more out-of the local box for everything else. I dunno, maybe someting to make it more 'proffestional' than local.

Sherminator? Green and Martignago? I'd rather listen to JBN around the cooler.
