No one has brought this up yet so...

This year, there has been two teams from Canada West that were allowed to play at this years Canadian University Championships (UBC and Trinity Western). Trinty won Canada West.

Both had a great chance to meet in the finals but Trinity lost their semi's 4-3 (3-3 at the end of the second half. Lost on PK's?) to the U of T earlier today. UBC plays UPEI later today.

Come on Thunderbirds!

Langara girls won the National Championship out at Burnaby Lake today. A scrappy game in which the difference was a major goalkeeping error by the Quebec keeper. Well done, Langara.

Trinity won the bronze medal today. Beating the host PEI team 2-1

Lil fact... the last two goals that Trinity Western gave up were to the opposing teams keeper, both in injury time!

congrats to mike mosher and the boys, particulary the westside lads. john poli mvp and serge djekanovic on the all-star team. steve deblasio and paul seymour also made canada west 1st team this year. a few other westside kids in there that are well deserving of the success (christoff, luke, ben...).
westside will be a different premier squad when (or if ) they come back into the fold. here's hoping they do and keep the westside 'A' boys where they belong in premier.

Congrats to Mosh...it's about time

Too bad about TWU as it would have been a great final if they had got by Toronto. TWU is a gritty team and will be back.
