Co-ed Playoffs who will win?

Well the playoffs have already started with Cosmos and Shadow already cliching spots in the final for the C division. I'm taking the Cosmos in this one, though Shadow FC are probably still chocked after losing out to the Cosmos for the league cup. In the B divsion Slapppers knocked off Poco Rockets in a blowout to reach the final. Surprising how Karma can come back and bite you, as the Rockets have been known to run the scores up on their oppenents! Slappers play the winner of Orange Crush and Gunners. I'm gonna pick the Gunners to win in the semi's and then complete the feat with a victory over Slappers on Sunday. In the A division it's YG vs PCOV in one semi final. PCOV surprisingly knocked off the heavily favoured Dragons in the quarters, will lady luck be on their side again? The other semi final is Cheatside vs Broken Down Golf Carts. If Cheatside has their team they should take care of the Golf Carts to once again be in the final. All the finals are this Sunday at Coquitlam Town Center Turf on the west field.

C division final at 12pm
B division final at 2pm
A division final at 4pm.

Once again good luck to all the finalists. I would also like to thank the AMSL league committie and Herb for another fun year of co-ed soccer!

Congrats to Cheatsiders for their 4-2 OT win over a very good YG Inc. in the searing heat at Towncenter turf. Most people thought their feet were going to melt!! Must have been 35 C on the pitch....Pretty evenly matched game with both teams sharing extended periods of possession. Congrats to both teams playing some very good footy in a fairly intense final with just the right amount of tryhardedness shown by both teams. Only a couple moments of madness with tempers flaring near the end, but the ref did an OK job of controlling it...and a decent job in the middle. The intensity made for a pretty exciting finish! Only injury suffered was from the young linesman you got back spasms at half-time and had to be replaced by Herb....hydrate kid!!

Thanks to Jerry, Herb and the league for all their hard work and for the field allocations this summer. Cheatsiders thank you for a very enjoyable year. We will be sending Herb an apology letter so he can forward it on to BBY Parks with regards to there grossly exaggerated complaint after Thurs nights semi vs BDGC. We want to ensure that we and all teams can continue to enjoy the atmosphere of BBY North Turf.
