I love how quickly you went from soccer tickets to hot chicks. She has psycho eyes. Every guy will fall for them and then be in her trap from hell, having to listen to her ridiculous ideas on zone defense.
just checked out the pricing for the preliminary games... both nights sold as a double-header... cool, except they want WFC prices, and up, to watch Japan kick the shite out of everyone else....
I'll go on the Monday if the prices get a little, and by that I mean a lot more reasonable. Wouldn't give up my Friday for a freebie, so good luck with that FIFA...
The Unicorn...I love it. I had a bunch of buddies posting on FB that they found the Unicorns after this came out...were in fact married to them! Fcuking suck-holes, the lot of them. The reality is their missus fall into- maybe- the Danger Zone, and slowly falling closer and closer to No Go as every year passes. You can only deal with Crazy so long.
I read this in the Globe and Mail today. Although this columnist may have a good point, I think that the thing that shines through is the absolutely condescending tone and the hubris/arrogance of Toronto...or at least this columnist in the Globe and Mail. Have a read .
Kelly is a bonehead at best. Self-contradictory (Berlin's stadium was great, but Edmonton's is not because of the running track - nevermind that Berlin's stadium has a running track too ) and petulant. This poorly-researched piece of bird-cage liner (definitely can't call it reporting with the lack of fact-checking) comes from somebody who has previously written the same kind of dross.
Why aren't there any games at BMO? Ever think that maybe the Pan-Am games organizers wanted to have exclusive use of the stadium? Does he even realize that's the same reason there are no WC games in Hamilton either? I wouldn't tar all of the populace of TDot with him, but just the ones who drink the same kool-aid...
So he derides Commonweath for no history (despite the contrary) and insists that BMO is the best choice? Good logic there as the only history BMO has is the seat cushion toss back in 2007
Heard today that it would have required BMO going to turf (irony) to be a facility. Or, Skydome (puke).
I somewhat agree that you can't host a WC and not have Toronto on display. It's still a great city to visit and party in. You really need to visit all the big cities in Canada at least once, so for TO not to be visited is a huge oversight, IMO.That said, I have obvious bias towards Vancouver, glad it worked out for once for us.
