For the past three years I've been telling anyone who would listen to my monotonous litany that Brazil would be champions in WC 02, amen. It doesnt matter who Germany was missing, Samba soccer at its finest will dominate any rival, be it a group of try hard plumbers or any other wishfull competitor, samba soccer at its finest is the undisputed king of the world.
In my humble opinion Khan played above his potential and deservingly won the golden ball award, even though he has butter-fingers and has a tendency to punch the daylights out of the ball instead of catching it.

For the same reason that Brazil's starters almost shat the bed during qualifying and then went on to win the WC once they got there.
