Sparta - Dynamo tonight in league play with some serious table implications. Always a great game vs these cnuts, looking forward to it!

Abby 2-2 Mission

We had a 2-0 lead at half through a great header, and deflected cross that ended up in the net.

They scored from the spot, and through a nicely worked goal.

2-2 was a fair result in the end, both teams had chances to win it but neither were able to capitalize. I think both teams are better than what they showed today, but 2 games in the weekend, or 3 for some takes it’s toll. Game got a little heated towards the end but nothing really too bad from either side.

Abby 2-2 Mission

Big result for the Dynamo boys here, appreciate the help @4thplacetrophy. This keeps the league up in the air and we essentially control our own destiny. After a string of hard fought games against Sparta (3-3) and Abby in the pres cup (1-2 PK loss) we play Abby again this Saturday on their home pitch. Looking forward to the chance for a little payback.

Came out flat in the first 10 minutes where they got a goal off a high ball inside 8 yards that came straight down and wasn't cleared and luckily bounced to there guys foot and he finished it. After that though we took over and out work Devils almost everywhere but couldn't get a goal, there keeper made 2 or 3 good saves to keep them up 1-0 at half. Second half started with the first 5 mins they had control but, again we took over and 15 mins in we scored off our winger making a good run in cutting inside and finishing it into the right corner. About 8 mins later we got our second off a nice half volley from the top of the 18 that sailed past there keeper. After that the Devils came on a bit stronger but couldn't generate many good chances in the final third. Good game overall had a couple heated moments but not too many. Onto Pomo Titans on Sunday

I guess this weekend the league will be decided.
Titans, Dynamo, Abby, or Sparta (slim chance) could all still be champions.
My pick is Dynamo to win the league at this point.

Top 7 is those 4 then the last 3 places are up for grabs between Red Devils, Blue Devils, Surrey, Gunners, and Us. Surrey with the toughest run left playing the top 3 teams is my guess to miss out. However they still could make provincials with a cup win. Other team missing out I think will be the Gunners who have had a bad few weeks, and playing Sparta won’t be easy.

Relegation still not settled either with Coyotes dropping out, and a fight between RedBulls, and Knights to escape that last spot. Can’t predict this as we play a deciding factor in this event.

It’s been a crazy year that’s still got a few twists left.

Been in fvsl men’s open for maybe 12+ years and can’t recall a team (and sideline) being so bat shite. 7 maybe 8 yellows for them, few rough tackles but the bitching and whining and complaining
Anyway we’ll take the 3-2 win. Good bounce back from losing to them in the cup on pks last week

All in all, it was actually a great game and hard fought battle by 2 of the best teams in this division. A few dirty hits from both sides but it's all apart of the game, If you can't take a few tackles you shouldn't be playing soccer.

First half was all dynamo and they deserved to be in the lead. Very nice header early on to put them up then an unfortunate own goal to go up 2-0.

Besides the first 5 mins of the second half (when dynamo got another ) it was all Abby United . Had a number of chances but we couldn't finish .dynamo deserved the win 100% and are a great side . Would love to get a rematch in provincials

On a side note , that one hit by the tall midfielder on our guy (went straight through his back with no intention of playing the ball) was in my opinion one of the dirtiest hits ive seen in my 18+ years of playing soccer . Our player didn't move for 5 minutes and it was bad . Ref showed no card and at that point the game got out of hand .

Our guy ended up in the hospital overnight because of the hit .
