What's this I'm hearing now that Kesler only has 2 teams now on his list of teams willing to go to?

Rumor. At the end of the day if he wants out of Vancouver he'll make it easier than harder to get out.

Supposedly his rumored list was shrunk from 5-6 (Pittsburgh, Philly, Anaheim, Chicago, Detroit, etc) to just Chicago and Pittsburgh. Supposedly the Hawks and the Pens have been hot around this, again only rumors.

It's probably more his agent trying to get leverage for a new team through the media... The guy doesn't want to go to a loser team and likely would prefer an American city. Do you blame him? He got the NTC/NMC and earned it, either via less term or less money in the last contract with the Nucks.

But as a caller on Team 1040 said, if the player is the one that wants out and demands the trade, any NTC should be null and void... I am 100% behind that idea.

Kesler is a Douche.

But I believe he has a limited NTC...meaning he's likely negotiated into the deal that right to waive based on a certain number of teams. I'm pretty sure Luongo's also had that.

If it's a blanket NTC/NMC and has no conditions I'm pretty sure I agree with your sentiment.

These clauses are given away in lieu of term and wage...It's just the way it is.

Team cancer. We'll miss this type of player on the ice but will make up for it with better chemistry. Immature, self centred and sleeps with teammates wives making it slightly awkward in the dressing room :)

If he doesn't expand his list to accept a reasonable trade then keep him as a third line winger for two years. Might help us get a good draft pick next year.

Kesler traded to Anaheim. Bonino, Sbisa, and Anaheim's later first rounder (#24).

Love this trade! Like the bodies coming back and the business side of the trade and the intangibles are the real upside.

Sbisa is a nice Garrison PP replacement.
Bonino is a gap filling 2nd Line C for now- he won't have the same talent riding shotgun in Vancouver that he had in Disneyland.

would be happier if the Ducks had given Benning the #10 pick instead of the #24

Getzlaf and Perry had better lock up their wives.

douche said:
"I hate losing and that season was painful, to be honest," he said on a conference call. "The fact that they're in a rebuild and are looking to get younger and are years away from being a contender, I think it was just time for me to move on and win and hopefully take home a championship."

Way to be the solution rather than the problem.

"He just felt he needed a fresh start and quite frankly we don't want somebody that doesn't want to be here," Benning said Friday afternoon before the draft began. "We're going to acquire high-quality people that are going to come in here and want to work hard for one another, so we didn't give it much thought."

Pretty much, Benning just called Kesler a douche.

Pretty much.
