Up another 2 spots to 23rd overall now.

And my big gun Randy McKay isn't even playing yet...

Just sitting back, and waiting.

TheRob is making his move too. My game plan from the start was to sit back and wait. I will move up from 32nd. Just give it time.

Another day, another spot gained :D

Could someone please pass along the message to Kurgan that your goaltenders in this pool should gain you the most points?

Ballsy will drop like a sack of hammers. He has too many Canucks, and they just happened to have a decent night last night. Remember to choose with your head, Ballsy, not your heart.

Captain who knows the Canucks will be 0 - 5 by the weekend, and they will be shutout in Dallas...

trouble

I think the wheels are falling off as I type. Jagr has just gone down with an apparent knee injury. Fcuking Czechs. So I am relinquishing my lead after 2 days. I felt like there was no catching me until this injury.

forget that last post.....

After looking at the stats and realising that 28 other people chose Jagr, it shouldn't be that much of a problem especially if the Gonch Man (Sergei Gonchar) scores 8 points just like he did tonight.. :)

You have to love the Gonch Man

it's all falling into place

Yes Captain,

Thank you Sergei. More importantly, thank you Jerome.

Don't look now but Regs has jumped up to 14th and is only 15 points off the pace.

In the unlikely event that I don't catch the Captain, for the record, I helped him with his picks.

It's true, it's true.

Huh?

For the record, if you do catch me, I did help you with your picks. You're absolutely right. If you don't catch me, then I helped you too. Obviously, I sent you the wrong way, much like I did when I played against you in the Wesburn tourney. :)

So, I am in first for the 3rd day in a row and enjoying every minute of it. I don't think I ever made into the TOP 10 in any other pool.........But, I do know that you're only as good as your last game/day, so we will see what today brings, tomorrow....

Today brought nothing.....

I will no longer be in first place after tonight's action. It is a very sad day for everyone on the site, I'm sure. Don't worry too much though. The Islanders will cool off soon, won't they?

Captain who is conceding(sp?) first place and truly enjoyed the experience

Today brought nothing BUT.....

It could be a lot worse. I have decided to show one poor Dutch lad who must be pretty embarrassed(sp?) at this point. Obviously, it wasn't enough that Ireland eliminated his beloved football team from the World Cup..

Oops......

I forgot about the other sorry Dutch sod, who currently is near the bottom of the hockey pool. It just proves what I have said all along: the Dutch know absolutely nothing about hockey. Right, Bigun?

As for the Irish, it has rapidly moved up to our 10th national sport right behind Equestrian. So you can probably understand why I sit in the top 5 right now.........

Day number 4 at the top.....

I was very surprised to see that I was still in first place but Nabakov and Czerkawski(thanks to the misconduct) pulled me up from an otherwise bad day. Yes, the lead is dwindling BUT I have been on top for 4 days now which is now 4 days more than I have been in previous pools.

Regs, your move pushed you back from your 13 points you mentioned the other day.....

Bigun, you're up to 21st now. I am starting to worry.

Enoughs enough!!

If it isn't painfull as it is to see shite picks atop the leaderboard, and to see his bog trotter prattle daily... LEAVE THE FOOTBALL OUT OF IT!

The Capt'n has clearly forgotten his standing in the chick pool. Furthermore, I hope the Captain enjoys his rather tenous hold of the yellow jersey. He shot to the top early (I remember a similar chart myself last year and remember none too fondly where I finished) and is losing steam. I started at 33rd and have climbed to 21st. While this is not in the Captain's lofty realm, it is an optimistic pace.

Rave while you can Captain, it will make that mamoth plate of crow you serve up later that much more appetizing.

Cheers,

PS... I hope the little bastards are eating you for lunch!

Actually.....

Bigun,

Thanks for your concern. The kids I have this year are great, which will probably pisses you off even more. You have one problem. You now have 19 people to pass to even get to me. Though Crow is a tasty dish when cooked in footinmouth sauce, I won't be eating any. At the end of the day, as long as I finish ahead of the you, it will be another successful pool. Not successful from a financial side, but from the personal side. Just like you were stuffed at Lansdowne Road in September, you will be stuffed by the Captain in the hockey pool...

Hopefully everything is going well for you this year, at least better than your first couple of weeks in the pool. Having said that, that shouldn't be too difficult.

P.S. If you were referring to my darling daughters, they have been great too........:p

Although Robitaille finally decided to join the rest of the team and pop one in tonight (much to my delight), I'll be damned if I shoulda picked Shanahan. Fcukin' hell, he's lightin' 'em up.
