I've sent an email out to everyone who was in the season pool, but would also like to invite anyone else out there to join the playoff pool as well...

Details:

Entry fee: $20
Pool type: re-pick... you make picks after every week even if you get everything wrong in the previous week
Points: rnd 1 - 1; rnd 2 - 2; rnd 3 - 4; rnd 4 - 8
Tie Breaker: Total points in the Super Bowl
Prize: Winner Takes All (well actually $2 per entry goes to admin so total pot is $18x#ofentries)

If you are in for the pool, please enter your picks at the site area I just setup here:

http://www.takethepiss.com/pools/nfl2003playoffs/

Please get your entry fee in ASAP. This means keeping in contact with me on the status of your payment rather than me hunting you down :) If sending a cheque by mail, here's the details needed:

Robin Regnier
#420 - 225 Newport Drive
Port Moody, BC
V3H 5C7
604.949.0662

If paypal, email/PM me and I'll give you instructions.

Cheers,

~Regs.

PS. not to be heavy-handed but if you put in picks, you are entered in the pool 100% and will need to pay up. If you do not have the funds to enter, DO NOT PUT IN PICKS. I will not accept people backing out even BEFORE the first games are played (nor AFTER the first games  )

I'm in the midst of a graveyard shift so I'll be researching my big money picks all night.

Will turn 'em in at around 4am.

Sleepless,
-sensei.

What an impressive performance by the Cowboys today. While Quincy Carter was awful in his own right, how the #1 rated defence in the NFL gives up 29 points to the Panthers is beyond me.

Tuna won't stand for Q-Carter's pocket ineptitude any longer...either Kurt Warner or Mark Brunell will be the starter in Big D at the beginning of next year.

Did anybody take Seattle in the morning game for tomorrow? Yeah. Didn't think so. I got dicey with the afternoon game and went with the Broncos...I'm expecting big things from Portis on turf, especially after what Griffin did to the Colt defense two weeks ago.

Oh yeah. The NFL co-MVP (I hate that shite. You don't share awards) threw three picks today, but he's still moving onto the second round. Something tells me the voters didn't exactly give enough credit to McNair's supporting staff. The Titans defense really won them the game today.

A few people went 4 4 4.

The site has been updated and the new picksheet for the weekend is ready to go... Deadline is Saturday morning.

3-4 for me. I went with Baltimore not Tenn. I thought they would be a little more productive moving the ball than that. Plus I think McNair is over rated this year.

Yes.

I can see you're well on top of things then.

It's hard to pick away teams this week, but I've found a way. I've convinced myself Indy and GB will pull off the upsets. GB has far to strong a running game and they also have the Farve factor in cold weather. Carolina was a coin toss as well.

Oh well, it was only $20.00. I'll just say it was Sensei's and that'll make everything ok.

I take it you're going to your Superbowl party naked?

I was unable to pick any upsets although I am leery of the Favre factor. I'm also leery of swimming in a pool loaded with Barracudas and Jellyfish, in case you were wondering.

Only if you're inviting me.

The other side of the coin is Farve blows up like he did (two?) years ago with umpteen picks and fumbles. (No Dap, that doesn't say hump teens.)

Favre blow-up? You mean like that interception he just threw in OT to lose the game? What the fcuk was that? Honestly, that has to be the stupidest thing I've seen a quarterback do in years. Re-tar-ded.
