Women finished 1-0, just need a point from their final match tomorrow vs Nova Scotia to play for Gold on Monday.

KO @ 10AM Pacific
Apparently they don't even need a point and they will be playing for Gold tomorrow regardless of today's result.

Good luck to the BC women!

Peg 2-1 over PEI this morning, can finish no worse than 10th now. If other match today ends in a draw they capture 9th regardless of their final game result.

Alberta over Saskatchewan in the other semifinal today so it's Alberta vs Quebec for Gold tomorrow (and Ontario vs Saskatchewan for Bronze)

BC women lost 2-0 today but as mentioned, they play tomorrow for Gold... playing Quebec in the final.

Quebec with the opportunity to do the double...

Peg lost their final game this morning to the Newfies but still topped the losers group.

BC men will be seeded 9th for next year.

Watching that Quebec game felt Both teams were giving each other so much respect, sitting back letting the other team almost reach half before there was much of a press. Peg maybe could have tried to press higher up the pitch for stretches to mix it up and take Quebec out of their comfort zone.

It's why I love Klopp so much, right or wrong I think espeicially at this level players struggle with pressure. Yah it can hurt you if done wrong or the press is beaten but it also creates a lot of turnovers high up the pitch so you don't have to build 80 yards to get a chance. All premier players are good when given time but lots don't cope well with pressure in dangerous areas and start making mistakes.

Alberta Edmonton Scottish are the 2016 National Champions after a 1-0 victory over Quebec in the Challenge final today.

Final standings and (seeds) for next year:

Alberta (1)
Quebec (2)
Ontario (3)
Saskatchewan (4)
Alberta
Newfoundland (5)
Manitoba (6)
New Brunswick (7)
BC (8)
PEI (9)
Newfoundland
Nova Scotia (10)

So assuming NWT participates next year and BC as host get 2 berths, I think the groupings are going to look like this (if same structure as this year):

Group A
Alberta
BC
PEI

Group B
Quebec
New Brunswick
Nova Scotia

Group C
Ontario
Manitoba
NWT

Group D
Saskatchewan
Newfoundland
BC
