Halfway through the first half. Fairly even with Quebec having the best scoring opportunity - a goalmouth scramble cleared off the line.

Very, very picking officiating ...... careful not to breathe on a guy

'Bout 20 minutes to go & Peg down 1-0. Peg have definitely had more possession but unfortunately, haven't been able to bury one.

I thought Peg was launching the ball to the left side too much. They had nothing going in the final 3rd. Created no chances going forward.
I said the same thing I think for the first game on Wednesday - launch after launch down the left.

For today, I thought CJ was sitting back too deep, especially the last 20 or so - that guy needed to be in more forward positions when receiving the ball.

At the end of the day, final third production was Peg's downfall.

I think CJ is the most dangerous as the attacking high centre mid. He tried to switch sides in the 2nd half. I thought they had chances to cross the ball into the box and perhaps get a lucky bounce. It sure wasn't their best game.

Peg now plays Nova Scotia tomorrow @ 12:30 PT I think.

Update on highest Peg can finish: 9th

Peg finishes the tournament:

Sunday vs PEI @ 7:30AM Pacific
Monday vs Newfoundland (Mount Pearl) @ 4:30AM Pacific

I don't believe any of these games are being webcast

Still confused as to why Peg didn't attack more. They seemed to be content with just long balls. With the talent on that squad, this must be one of the worst showings at a Nationals. It seemed like Lensky and CJ were the only ones trying to break through Alberta and Quebec defenses.

There may be something else to it though, just what I saw watching the games.

Received word from numerous other people that CJ and Javid will be leaving for Hurricanes once they return from Nationals.

Well that didn't go as planned....Sports can be so humbling. One minute we are Provincial Champions and then all of a sudden we are chumps relegated to a consolation round.

A lot of factors didn't go our way but at the end of it all - we didn't score a goal in two games and just one is all we needed to advance to the next round. That's on us and no one else. Maybe that is why this is more disappointing than our 2011 experience of losing in the finals.

Already looking forward to the challenge of defending our title as Provincial Champions. Next years Nationals I believe will be in Langley hosted by the FVSL.

Best of luck to the Richmond Women's team chasing gold.

4-1 Final. Leading the group after round 1 as the other game ended 1-1.

Championship semis are set with Ontario taking on Quebec and Saskatchewan taking on Alberta (don't know which one as they played each other today)
