Life long Feynoord fan Marck, was suffering from terminal illness and doctors had only given him a few days to live. One of his last wishes was to see his favorite football team one more time. The club arranged that he could watch the first training of the season from the dug out in De Kuip Stadium. Marck was accompanied by his son and a few friends. Most of the supporters had heard of Marcks story, so on the 12th minute all of the players stopped their exercises and along with everyone in the stadium turned their eyes towards him. At the same time a banner with Marcks figure on it appeared amongst green flares and smoke, with his favorite color green and signing "you'll never walk alone" Visibly touched by the gesture, Marck found the strength without any support and walked toward his fellow supporters. he was then enthusiastically applauded by everyone in the stadium. 3 days later Marck passed away.
