Score announces exclusive FIFA World Cup programming

Score Media and the CBC last week announced a broadcasting deal which will provide the Score Television Network with exclusive 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa content for Canadian viewers.

Under the terms of the deal, the CBC is giving The Score access to extended highlights of each World Cup match and content to provide additional coverage of every team.

In addition to being able to deliver more highlights, the sports network also announced three shows for World Cup Fans including:

  • “32 Countries in 32 Days” – beginning the week of May 11th and running until the start of the tournament, the show will preview one participating team each day and chronicle their journey to the World Cup.
  • “FIFA World Cup Tonight” – hosted by the Score’s James Sharman and Sid Seixeiro, the show will premiere at 10 pm ET every day of the tournament and will provide fans with updated World Cup news and highlights.
  • “Cabbie’s Journey to South Africa” – hosted by Cabral “Cabbie” Richards, the program will capture the adventures of Cabbie as he experiences the fans, events and scenery of this exciting tournament

The 2010 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place between June 11th and July 11th 2010 in South Africa. It will be the 19th FIFA World Cup and the first tournament to be hosted by an African nation.
Time to get the PVR cleaned out of 234098 episodes of Curious George.
