Summer Leagues?

Could not find a thread about this, so just had to start a new one.
Over last 4 years we have always played either Knights or FVSL Summer league, but we now have quite a few players living Vancouver region. Does VMSL offer a summer league, couldnt find it on their website. Or is there a different league just for summer like KSL for Vancouver. Thanks so much, if you could provide contact info/ e-mails that would be great!

I played in the Multicultural League a few years back. Not sure if that is still going.

Thanks guys, nothing really comparative to a VMSL unless you want to play PCSL league I guess. Ultra league seams more burnaby, RRSL is more richmond.... Oh well, ill keep trying! Thanks for the help

What team are you entering?

RRSL Div 1 is very competitive and hosts Vancouver teams -- Westside FC, Rino's, and Binger's (all are top 5 in VMSL Div 1 right now, Westside look good for promo to premier).

Steel & Engineers has a number of VMSL Div 2 equivalent teams. Ultra League VMSL Div 3 & lower.

Sweet thanks Dezza. We entered into Div.1/ Prem last summer in FVSL and we won it. So we will probably do div.1/div.2 in RRSL. Are a lot of the games in Vancouver/ Richmond region?

Games are primarily in Richmond.

Unfortunately the majority of Vancouver fields go to ultimate frisbee tossers and urban rec co-ed bunk in the summer.

Long-standing issue in CoV where the majority of soccer posts come down on the first weekend of April. The biggest issue used to be that the majority of soccer fields were also being used for summer softball, and that's when they started. I have nothing positive to say about ultimate, so I won't say anything else...

Urban Rec only plays on turf.

We too are in the same position, played in USL last year and the standard was very mixed but too many no shows or teams turning up with 7 players etc.

Does anyone have a contact or website for RRSL (whats the full name?) and the Steel and Engineers League. I can't find anything on Google.

RRSL League president is Dave Park - a1a12289 at telus.net

There is usually an AGM in March where the league decides what new teams will be admitted.

Prolly back to Hoffy's league. Would also like to find somewhere for the masters' team to play, though. There seems to be a shortage of summer leagues for old farts who haven't hit 40 yet.
