Probably biased here but Astro super unlucky not to get something from Serbia. We took the lead, hit the crossbar and post before conceding from a corner. Looked headed for a 1-1 until they mishit a cross that flew in. Both sides enjoying periods of pressure throughout.

Great game and looking forward to facing them later in the season. Last time we faced them they hung six goals on us so it's progress

Ramsey and Riad both on FASA. I'm not sure if Vega left or stayed.
Serbia also without Stefan J who's on Langara right now.
Pedro still with Serbia as I understand. Curious to know how he'll produce, given the talent that was putting him in good positions last year. In the spirit of @Canucks4Ever - how many goals would Burrows have gotten without the Sedins? Similar? We'll see

I thaught the highlights of serbia and Astro looked decent for div 2.lots of chances, must be nice playing on a nice grass pitch for a change

Looked like an exciting game! Great footage. Awesome turn from the goal scorer for Serbia's winner. Near post though?.. deflection perhaps?
Swanguard is tops!
Looked like a mis-hit cross at the time but the video suggests a slight deflection

Hahah very long season but likely our best start in years. It’s important to save your goals and be efficient.
Bingers did well against a Harps side that dominated the game but ultimately missing 3 strikers, lacked a cutting edge, despite missing a couple one on ones and hitting the bar.

Definitely not a case of saving your goals, rather you took the one chance you got from a set piece. Well done and best of luck!

NK Hrvat 4-3 Westside. Marco Parlato gotta be one of the worst refs in vmsl. He was just making up calls whenever he wanted without even seeing the play but based off which team yelled louder for the call.

Every game in Pool B, so far, was a very tight game based on the results. Pool A seems to be different where Shaheen already scored 10 goals in 2 games without any conceded.

Here is a link to one of the games from Friday from Pool B:

Seems like it's going to be a bit of a procession to the title for Shaheen in Div 2 A.

2B looking very interesting though

You don't think Metropolitan will challenge them?
November 3rd, and February 2nd - the two days Shaheen and Metropolitan play each other. Those two days will determine the winner of 2A.

Either team will be unlucky not to get the Div 1 promotion. Excited to see them battle it out this season

Might be hard on the Greencaps tonight having both teams playing at the same time. Div 2 playing against the former Club Ireland which is somewhat ironic.

If NK Hrvat beats UBC on Friday night at the “Spectrum” aka Van Tech Turf does that change anything amongst you would be prognosticators?
Normally in Div 2, any team has been capable of beating any other team. We saw it last year namely when Serbia, who had a real promotion shot end of the year, lost to the eventually auto-relegated Hurricanes in Surrey 5 - 3 in a 2nd half collapse. Upsets happen. But if Metropolitan, or Shaheen have their big dogs available week in and week out... tough to see them slipping much.

With respect to NKHrvat vs UBC -- hey all the best to NKHrvat. They played the bottom two teams in the Div thus far, conceding 3 against Westside in a 4 - 3 win. Little early for the stats to do the talking but... UBC beat Westside 6 - 0. o_O

Who knows!
