I do not understand guys transferring from one team to another in the same league/division in Masters. I know in Premier the guys get paid five figures to go over to the dodgy proceeds teams but Masters I don't figure.

Didn’t you know?...VMSL Masters has the second biggest budget in all of the land. :D

In all honesty, James just moved back to town last year and was a long time Norvan player. He’s a good dude. No shady shite going on here.

Haven't been yelled at in almost a week, so here is a stab at this week's game. A full slate this weekend:

Norvan vs PCOV. Two teams with very different results last week; Norvan with a roughshod win and PCOV getting a lesson on playing an away game with not enough guys. PCOV will look to redeem themselves this week, but home field by the debutantes will prove to be too much. Norvan 3 PCOV 2.

VUFC vs Metro Ford. VUFC will be on a high at home against one of the top teams in this Province. The latter will prevail. MF 3 VUFC 0.

West Van vs Romania. Romania always plays WV very tough, and the league holders have had a lethargic start. West Van 3 Romania 1.

EDC vs Croatia. EDC were humbled at Western Nationals, and Croatia were humbled on the North Shore. EDC will have the bigger hangover. EDC 1 Croatia 1.

Westside vs Columbus. One of the fiercest rivalries in Masters soccer, at Empire this week. Both teams have added youth this year, although questions do remain.
Westside 2 Columbus 2.

lol. It was their home game and both our teams had 2 subs.

Norvan vs PCOV - Norvan have been putting the ball in the net as of late but were also humbled in their opener. PCOV will want to get back on track after losing last week but which PCOV will show up..the one that beat Metroford or the one that lost to us?!?

MF vs VUFC - Big ask for us tonight. MetroFord have had our number but we did get points off of them once! :D

EDC vs Croatia - Croatia on their day can be a really hard team to beat. Unfortunately Saturday is not the day.

West Van vs Romania - Should be straight forward for the reigning champions.

Westside vs Columbus - Westside on a coin flip. If Columbus lose then maybe it was too much of an over-haul in the off season(?)

West Van 2 Romania 2. Zero for two on picks so far...same as Machel

Well you’re 1-3 @Sir M

VUFC 0 - 4 MetroFord

MetroFord took us to school with a short bench and without the likes of TK, Ollie and Chinner in their lineup.
I usually don’t get good sleep after a shitkicking. On to Romania next week in a huge basement battle.

PCOV 3-0 Norvan. Mike Gomes with few beauty goals!!
Looks like @hard ballz and the real PCOV showed up to play!

West Van 4 Croatia 0. We went up a couple in the first half hour and Croatia struggled to get chances. We emptied the bench with about 30 to go, and the last two goal scorers were strikers with a combined age of 106 yrs.

And one of them is under 50...
it's take the piss, not math class.

Other results on Friday:
Club Inter EDC Burnaby M 1 - 2 Coq Metro Ford M PCE Trillium Turf West - VAN
NVFC Norvan Lions M-A
1 - 0 VUFC Rangers M-A William Griffin Turf - NVAN
ICSF Columbus FC M-A 6 - 1 FC Romania M-A

Metroford with back to back squeakers and getting full points the last couple of weeks.

Columbus with a downright beating on Romania. Deblasio with a big game for the Italians.

Norvan did enough to take the points from us. Legit scoring chances were at a premium in this match of teams fairly evenly matched imo. Wilton had a strong game for them as well as Snedds.

Machel is still drunk.
Lol

The boys held it down after the win with some much deserved beverages.

Scoreless after the half where both teams got in to some promising positions but failed to convert on their chances.

Fresh legs came in at half time for both teams and that brought some life in to the game. I opened the scoring with a chip to the top corner. We doubled our lead on an open net tap in. Our third was a nice lob over the keeper off of a rebound.

They hit the cross bar in the final minutes but our goalie made a game changing save from Corazza with the score at 1-0.

Romania with a big win over Norvan and Croatia slumped to another defeat. It’s been an interesting season so far.

On to next weeks derby game vs Westside for us.

Another set or predictions for us old bastards:

West Van FC M vs Coq Metro Ford M - The battle of the reigning champs vs the dethroned champs. The battle of the furthest east and west teams. The battle of the two pain in the ass fields to get too. Here we go! haha
Metroford are at the top and again WestVan is currently making their way. But without their Flying Horses for guaranteed points, can they make up the ground in the title race? This is why we don't have two teams in Prem for all those who read the other threads on here. hahahaha

FC Romania M-A vs Croatia SC M - Romania showing they can put the ball in the net last week but also showed they concede goals quite regularly as well. I don't know what's up with Croatia but if they want to turn their season around then they gotta start this weekend. It's a huge 6 pointer and I'm sure both teams will have a go especially because it's both their home fields and the fans may be out. :D

ICSF Columbus FC M-A vs PCOV M-A - The Italians and the Portuguese are back at the top of the league after a year of recruiting and rebuilding. Both teams have looked good so far this season with a couple of hiccups. Notably our 1-0 win that @hard ballz is still probably fuming over. lol. This will be a tough away game for both teams from Commerical drive.. @Sir M logic.

Club Inter EDC Burnaby M vs NVFC Norvan Lions M-A - After winning the league cup and provincials, EDC ain't looking all that great to be honest. I think a lot of us expected them to be a lot better and after we laid a whooping on them last week, they play a similar team in Norvan this weekend. Norvan is having a good rookie year so far in the league. A win for either team will help them put a gap between them and the bottom.

Westside FC M-A vs VUFC Rangers M-A - Derby game in the...Eastside side? Yup. Empire Field hosts this years first derby game for us. Oh the tradition. lol. Lets face it, every team is going in to a game vs us Rangers thinking it's an easy 3 pts. And yeah, sometimes we shite the bed but we always give it a go. Westside on paper should beat us but our record in the last couple of seasons is close, I think its 3w-2L for them. Just give @Dancin Bear pk duties and we'll be alright. :wa:

happy halloween.:android:
