Well we made it......well almost all of us.

One big defender missed the flight by 5 minutes.

The Rangers and the B C Lions were the only people on the flight.

They all mingled in well and our tickets for the game are row three.

The boys are down in the pub right now and we have a team meeeting at five.

Alberta and Sask left to go train at the field.

Why would you need to train at this stage of the game.

Same old Pomus Arogant Alberta team we played two years ago...

They had a good snicker as they saw our team down in the pub as they walked on by to go to training.

19 degrees and very sunny here in the Peg.

I took some good photos and will post later...........

Couldn't fine the Galaga machine - It looks like it's been replaced sonno.

However in my travels searching through town I've discovered remains of other historical lower mainland 'stamps' here.
The birds here always ask when they find out you're from Vancouver 'Do you know Stevie?'
'Stevie who?'
'He had dreamy Irish blue eyes and a mullet only Glen Hoddle could rival'
'Yes, actually, I do know Stevie'
I told her that the number she had was no longer valid but gave her his new one.

Later, different bird but same again.
'Do you know Stevie?'
'Stevie who?'
'He's a big bear like guy, soft touch, much like a Panda, and we called him Mr. October'
'Yes, actually, I do know Stevie'
I told her that the number she had was no longer valid but gave her his new one.

'M'BE:
VERY disappointed with menu selection tonight.
I don't give a fcuk if we play Winnipeg Italia Saturday and we should do the old Columbus/Inter diet and have pasta, I wanted fcuking cabbage rolls, perogies, and sausage.
Tomorrow perhaps after Sascratchmybum.
I won't let you down on your most welcome referrals.

Greggy's just walked in looking kind of sultry so I'm off to spoon.

Be in touch lads,
RF

Alberta never stops being arrogant....that's why all the "birds" like the BC teams...well....most of them.

Cheers!

Hey RF. There used to be a good pizza place...that might be a better choice than the pasta in Winnipeg. You never know what's in it with the Alberta boys lurking...I think it was presto pizza on main. Not bad...Not quite as good as Lombardos though. Good luck!

It has been snowing on and off here in Calgary -- look out it is heading your way.

Like everywhere else, Earls is a good bet... couple of mediocre places at the Forks. Always the casino if you get bored...

Good luck, kick an Albertan, take pity on the Sask boys.

RF, I am sure there are a few boys with you on this trip that left 'stamps' while there during the glory Fury days.
What disguise is Ian wearing on this trip, the stash and glasses or the blond hair mullet. Both are very good in the Peg, just keep your kit on.

Good luck tonight Rangers.

Ooooooh - Sounds like a great post Lions/Bombers game destination. :)

Speaking of the Lions game.
Look for us on the tele guys, we will be in full regalia.
Keith had a great idea with us putting 'BC Lions' on our chests.
He'll have the 'B', Bails is the 'C', and I'll be the 'Lions'...
They just don't stop. :D

I'm sorry, Ian who?
Ohhhh, Big Mac you mean.
I haven't had a chance to chat to him yet.
He just flew in....
Softhead. :D

We won't be using the mullets HOS for disguise.
If we do we'll be surrounded by birds saying 'Hi Stevie'.

Excellent, well done!

What's with Sask this year? Played Clanbus to a draw in the open today as well... they were usually not very good from what I recall from years past?

From what I recall the Sask. goalie is big and clumsy but seems to get in the way of everything ...... why ten men - RF leave early for a snack ?

Regs:

They were an ethnic team of Chileans out of Saskatoon actually.
The whole red and blue and white colours with the Chile flag as their crest.
No where near as weak as the team we played two years ago.
Their qualification still seems a bit weird though.
To win the Sask championship it's the two best teams out of Saskatoon, one from Regina, and one from Prince Albert going at it in a weekend round regs, I mean robin.
It seems winning a selected tournament gets you to the dance out of that province.
Nonetheless they were actually a not bad side.
The early red card cost us but we still put some dangerous chances into them which went unfinished.
The weather was an element as well with the wind in both our's and the Manitoba/Alberta game which saw Alberta win 3-2.
Greg Silzer was a warrior today and our best player.
Must have been the extra lovin received from last night. ;)

The Lions game very shortly after was a blast and unfortunately had to have a late pizza in the pub at the hotel instead of that at Presto Pizza.
Still no Ukrainian food thus far MBE. :(

The womens side, Meralomas, won as well 3-2 over....shite I forget...
They looked very good and we have been hanging out with a few of them as well.
Some of the Quebec ladies were enquiring about the Firemen and whether we knew them.
I said of course we do - Doesn't everyone?
The old cliche right?
How do you know a Fireman is in the room?
Don't worry - They'll tell you...:D

Tough task tomorrow as inevitably Winnipeg Italia wil be fired up after losing to Edmonton and we need to be on our game I'm sure.

Over and out,
RF

Manitoba 2 Us 1

Game of two halves as again the wind continues to be a right fcuk here.
Down 1-nil at half after they had the wind on a dropped ball by Tony for them to slot inside the 2 yard line.
We then came out flying to then go down by two on another bad defensive miscue.
We did play a great second half with the wind behind us to finally get one.
Their keeper was fantastic.

Must say that the Tourney hosts have been first class.
Embarassing really in comparison to when we hosted 2 years ago.
Simply no comparison.
Physios, beer gardens, etc. make it very professional.

Hector Varaga (sp?) was our ref today and if that's the best our country has to offer FIFA that is a shame.
I rarley complain about officiating, and maybe he had an off day, but he truely was a biased useless cnut.
I'm not saying he affected the result only that the discrepancies between what we did compared to them was treated way differently.
Rant over but he was non-objective twat.

We have to beat Alberta by 3 to do it.
Not an easy task.

Be in touch,
RF
