Did I miss something? Racism? Is that the alleged 'terrorist whore' angle perpetuated in some media reports that even Zidane has dismissed?

3 games? He would have been charged with ****ing assault on the street.......He should have been given 10 games to set a point. The man is retired anyway. Throw the book at him. As for Matarazzi, I don't really care because he is a thug.
A vicious head butt to the chest which amounts to a hard shove or late tackle w/ shoulder contact. Had he thrown an elbow to the head, or an actual head butt, I'd agree. If you realy want to get technical, let's look to Roony, or Figo. There's your book.
De Rossi got 4 games for an elbow....ZZ should have gotten more.
How ironic that Materrazi got 2 games......the second game of his suspension is a Euro qualifier against France in Paris.
I think FIFA just saved themselves some security headaches.

zidane should have more, Materazzi should have been fined, at the most, for unsporting behaviour...Not given any suspension at all, considering, as Tuna said, that Figo got fcuk all.
Materazzi is a thug and an animal, he will get his soon enough.
I remember the incident where he could have easily broken Benni McCarthy's leg, and a landed kick and elbow on an AC Milan player, nevermind the walloping he gave Lovenkrands, for Rangers, during the CL last year.
But, he is a world cup winning thuggish animal.

Had the Scottish kiss been given right to Materazzi's face Zidane would have been way more harshly treated.

Completetely different levels of violent conduct though is what I was getting at.
