@MasterTATA seems like the Snipers got sniped that red didn't seem to help too much... you guys should wash your mouths with soap! Couldn't even get a shot on goal either.... ha! I hear div 3 calling...

The game definitely wasn't 13th Legion's best, but whether an inch or a mile...it's all about the W.

Looking to bounce back next week with a strong performance and keep our streak alive.

The top two in 2A battled it out to a 1-1 draw at Burnaby Lake tonight. Enjoyable game, but 13th Legion must be wondering how they didn't come away with all three points.

They could have been three or more up in the first 20 minutes. They were all over Burnaby Metro to start with before the leaders started to look better towards the end of the half. Goalless at the half, but Legio's pressure finally paid off ten minutes into the second after a nice move up the right.

Game changed with about 17 minutes remaining when Legio player picked up a second yellow. Seemed soft but they were lucky to not have gone down to ten earlier after a horrible looking lunge from behind that saw the Burnaby player stretchered off.

Metro pressed hard with the man advantage and after missing a couple of really good chances, they finally got back level with two minutes left after a cracking Mashinchi free kick. They had a couple of chances to win it too, but both teams had to settle for a point.

Nk Hrvat 2-1 burnaby metro. Nk played great game defence game. Fustrated #10 who they always went through.

Surprising to see Norvan play a suspended player under a different name and then proceed to all scream his real name the entire game, not very subtle but fortunately didn't effect the result.

These are the things that essentially show that spending thousands of dollars and energy registering players is a total waste if the referees use "the honour systesm" (as one of them uses frequently) or they simply call the names without even looking at the face of the player.
Perhaps you did not mind, but it should not happen.
Referees get paid to check the cards properly. It is our right to go and ask the referee to check the card properly this is why we given them $150 dollars per game.
Even Urban Rec checks the identity of some players better than some of the VMSL referees. These are the things that should not be happening but it is us (managers and players) the ones that allow them to happen.

you should transfer your Campo team to fraser valley next season

There seems to be some anger in your response. You might want to reflect on it.
Essentially you are triffling. It can be $140, $150, $160, or Premier, Division 1, division 2, this irrelevant. The point is that we have spent thousands of dollars on updating registration system and it becomes irrelevant if at the end the referee does not check cards.
As for the other comment, you will never get it, for me it is not about being the best or the second best or their third best. It is about helping people enjoy the the game and explore different scenarios with them and how the game relates to their lives. It is just a different mentality than yours. You are doing a lot of projecting perhaps you are the one who has that ambition. I am equally happy coaching division 4 women than division 1 men.
