Well turns out Poco is forfeiting the final as we can't field a team. I don't really understand why the league has put the cup finals weekend right smack in the middle of spring break. We can't put 11 players on the field so we'll give Westside the cup.

WV were full value for their win last night. They wanted it way more than we did, and it was a bit of an embarrassing performance. Corners were 15-1 in the first half. Possession 70/30 and that's being generous to us. Their keeper made a few great saves, as did ours. Referee was reasonable...
Poco put our best lineup and we did our absolute best. We were beat by a better team tonight who wanted it more. Sorry Bronco we'll try and do better against WV and Westside in the coming weeks. ;). We can't guarantee any results as we seem to be going into a major, major slump at the moment...
Agreed, the referee didn't consult us either. He simply walked in to our change room and advised the game was cancelled. The field felt like concrete so I think it was the right call.

The referee called the match on his own accord. The Castilians were 17 players strong, dressed and ready to play. I noticed the West Van roster was 12 strong (according to the team sheet) so perhaps the decision was more in favour of the away side.
