CMF 6 - VUFC 1 We got our ass handed to us. Wasn't even close. No effort on our part. We were down early and there was no response to some early goals. Still trying to figure out our system and new faces - and last night it showed.

Rangers 3 - Norvan 2 They scored first and last. We scored 3 in between. Decent game. We prob carried a bit more of play but pretty even overall. Not our best effort but a grind it out type of game.

In fairness to the Lomas, the 1st half was pretty even. The 2nd goal shank was unreal though - see one of those about once every 7 years. 2nd half was one way traffic. Must have been 80+% possession for VanU. But like bandcamp says, we just couldn't get the ball past the pipes.

2C looks stronger than last year... And yes, rumour has it DPR folded. They had a quality core, but always struggled to get numbers.

I left Hillcrest today at 3pm after having some post-game bevvies after our Masters game. Dasmesh and Unicorns were at half and Unicorns were up 2-0. Unicorns looked dangerous and scored 1 minute in, than again about 15 mins later. Dasmesh looked like a different team on grass.

Yeah there was a solid 9" difference in height between the grass around the base pad areas and the "sand" inside them. An ankle break (or worse) waiting to happen. If the league wants to gain any credibility, it should wipe that field off it's inventory for at least 2012/13. Ridiculous.

For TSA to lose to Sarajevo 5-0, both 2C top dogs had piss poor games. I would expect both teams to put forth a better effort next week in their playoff games.
