Glad to see we get a shot at Pacific again. Still pretty bitter over that Cup loss in the Q's last year. This is a stupid tough division though... 1 Knights Cup runner-up, 1 Div 3 winner and Knights Semi-finalist, 2 Div 2 Runners Up, and 2 Knights Cup Q-Finalists
I think, going by reputation...
I went 8 for 8 in Round 3 predictions :D. Nomads vs. Sentinel is the MOTW, by a mile.
NOMADS over Sentinel 1-1 (PK's)
TITANS over Gunners 1-0
ACBC over Players 7-1
And I am going to try and not predict my team's games from here on out, but i'll just say that i'm confident. I know that...
North Coquitlam Utd. 4 - LUFC Rangers 0
Could've been 7 or 8-0 were it not for their keeper and the posts. They totalled 3 red cards; two for brazen, blatantly late bodychecks, and one for dissent. Game was called early after their third card, in which one of their backs channeled his inner...
Yeah, I watched up until about 15 minutes to go, and felt no real purpose in staying. Sentinel were simply too fit and too fast for Celtic. They are a quick, physical team with decent ball movement. The pitch they were playing on was godawful but, you could tell the skill was there.
That being...
Quick question: MAP Oval Turf is McLeod Athletic Park in Langley, right? Just that there's no link from the 'Fields' tab on the FVSL site.
Going to Dewdney/Sentinel this morning (since i'm gonna be visiting some family in the area for dinner). Also hoping to get some of the guys (win...
I've got Celtic v. Sentinel as the match of the week. Could be a really competitive one, though getting past PoMo Lions was a pretty impressive feat.
Predictions for next week:
SENTINEL over Dewdney
TITANS over Phoenix
NOMADS over Sikh Utd.
PLAYERS over Wolves
NORTH COQUITLAM over...
If they can get by an undefeated team heading towards promotion with relative ease, I think its' fair to say they are the favourites from now forward. I'm sure Gunners will have something to say about that but, man...
North Coquitlam Utd. 3 - Port Moody Magpies 1
All power to Port Moody here. They had 9 guys, and played a great, defensive first game (literally playing 8-1 for most of it). We definetly took them lightly, especially when we saw their depleted numbers, and we played well below the standard...
Anyways, back on topic...
Rd. 3 draw was done (as i'm sure you guys are aware), and here are the ties:
Bradner Redshirts/Poco Royals/GEU Rams v. Aldergrove Utd./ACBC
Cloverdale FC/LUFC Athletica/SFC Caps v. Poco Pacific/Guildford FC
North Delta Titans/White Rock Utd. v. GEU Phoenix/Surrey Heat...
Think i'm gonna see if any of the boys wanna head down to Port Moody to watch the back to back PoMo games Sunday night. Not much of a drive, and we play Saturday night so, could be fun.
Kinda wanna see what all the Sto'lo Utd. fuss is all about, too :p
Just a guess mate. Redshirts are running away with 3B and will be promoted. Figure that has to be worth something? But it will obviously be a close one, regardless.
Eh. Aldergrove's a bit of a drive for me. Plus, we play the night before. I've seen you guys already this year too, remember? ;)
I am considering going to Pomo Lions and Sentinel on Sunday night at Heritage though. Not far out of my way really, and provided it's not too cold, might be worth...
Yeah. Well, either way, the draw seems a bit dodgy to me. It's seems ridiculous that three of Aldergrove Utd., PoMo Lions, PoMo Gunners, Sto'lo Utd., Sentinel and ACBC are going to be out in round 2, while there are at least 3 all Div. 3 match-ups. With respect to the Div. 3 guys, there needs to...
Well, with all full and due respect to the utter quality that is FVSL Division 2... what is a guy from the U20 Nat'l Team and a guy from 'Boro's youth squad doing in it? Were they promised a premier spot for next year maybeeee?
S'ok mate, you can tell us ;)
Different style of ball then what they're used to, one has to assume. I mean, where in Brazil are they gonna face two 35-year old, overweight tosser fullbacks from Surrey drunk off their gills and hacking at their calves? If they can get used to the ridiculously physical aspect of the FVSL...
That's rubbish. I'm sure a quality side like Aldergrove would have been keeping up the high intensity training over the break. Nonetheless, will be the best match of the weekend.
Rd. 2 predictions (i'm bored at work :P):
Poco Pacific over Guildford FC
LUFC Rangers over Poco Express
LUFC Wolves...
