Soccer is way more complicated in the lower mainland than in the Kootenays. In our area we have one team foer every two age groups (eg. U 14's / U 15's combine to make a U 15 team). There is no gold, silver, bronze...if an age group is particularly skilled they play in gold and silver...

What level is your school? AAA? AAAA?

Good information. We have been in the B cup the past two years. Technically we are a bronze team although we play at whatever level we can find games.

So which caliber of teams will be playing in the Provincial B Cup next spring? Will it be division 1 teams?

Sure, there is a rep program in Nelson but I am not from Nelson. That is 115 kms away.

Its interesting reading through this thread but it is a completely different reality in the interior of the province. In the Kootenays we have no option but to travel "ridiculous" distances to play competitive games. Our closest community is over 115 kms away! There is no DCC in our region...

The US tournaments are great fun. Teams from Alberta, Montana, Idaho Washington and BC. The Castlegar tournament is usually the 1st weekend in May. Check Kootenay South website. Kootenay South Youth Soccer Association

We do have a league but we only play tournaments for league play. We have a playdown to qualify for the B cup.
