Interesting night, not the best way to end the year, but at least we got there.

You know you're in for a rough night when you're down to 10 men after something like 10 minutes.
Nightmare...

Anyhow, thought we did OK by holding them to 1-1 at half and showing character when we tied the game and actually taking a bit of the game to them (you ) by the end of 45.
2nd half they (you) came out flying.
I was pissed a bit about the peno called as from my vantage point it was weak and felt he wasn't really in a lethal scoring position.
You're hoping to sneak one so you can defend for the rest of the game and when that guy slotted it, we were already getting a bit physically beat to now be psychologically done.
At the end of the day I doubt it would have mattered probably and I certainly don't want to take anything away from their (your ) win.

Congrats and well done to the Landing on a great season.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't resist taking that cruel dig.

The officiating was suspect to say the least. 1 or 2 non-calls / non-cards, would have definitely affected the outcome. You guys certainly deserved a better result than the eventual scoreline might suggest.

All in all a great summer of footie out in Ladner. The BBQs will be sorely missed.

For an old hack summer league it is extremely well run with all teams usually being quite committed.
And, yes, the BBQs and pints after are top shelf.
The sirloin burgers last night were sublime.
Actually, the Coronas were also sub'lime'.

Can you say deja vu. The sad thing about this league is as the teams get better every year the refs stay the same. Sorry I was not able to make it I love a good BBQ. All in all a great year with a few exceptions. The BBQ's will be sorely misssed.
