India 4
Croatia 1

India gets eliminated on goals for, as Ireland beat Argentina 7-1, so Ireland is through to semis. Bullshit how ireland scored 7 goals against Argentina with Argentina showing up at the game with only 8 players.

You guys crack me up.

Croatia lost due to "bad reffing" and "the luck of the Irish"... and India gets eliminated on goal differential. We all played 3 games. Get over it.

Does India truely feel that Croatia came with the same intensity in the game today as they did on Friday night? I think not. So the argies got humped today... get over it. India wouldnt think twice if they had one in the same manner.

Have another moan and a few bevvies in the beer garden (not in the parking lot)... 'cause your weekend is done.

Now sort out your politics and make some noise in Premier next year...

oops. or not.

Just to let You know Croatia is just the name. Most of the players are from Hercegovina.Them and Bosna are United as one country. There fore we have got nothing to say. They should change the name that way Croatia does not look bad each year. If you Tournament Coordinator ever wants real Croats to go in. The team would be hack of a team. They would bring Edrian Kekec, Johny Suletic, Michael Brkich,Tony Brkich,Nik Stankov,Nick Marcina,John Prpic,Fabian Jankovic,Peter Lovric, Mandic Brothers ,Corad Sly, Fifer and many more. Do get me wrong Hecegovina and Bosnia each have half of the pople Croatian desent. Third Bosnian Moslums and third Srbs. Forget the politics this is Canada, good luck to the two clubs in the final. Croats fought for thier freedom now it is to Bosnians and Herceovians to do the same.

Oh Man you are so funny! You say how the team is full of all Hercegovins and Bosnians. But then you go on to mention how a real Croatian team would consist of the Mandic Bros. Where do you think they are from. Ya thats right Bosna. Get your facts straight you farmer.

Argentina had 11 on the pitch and Ireland was just a better team. Too bad. Take care of your business. Fcuk, Germany needed to have Scotland win against Canada, and they end up with an injured Colin Phillips in net! Tie 4-4. If they had a goalie, well they did, but Sheps played out!!!!, they would have beaten Canada and Germany would be in the semis. Too bad, so sad. We should have tied Canada on Sat and we wouldn't have been in that situation!

BTW - O 30s - India over Italy in OT.

Jassis Rhandawa with the winner!!!

1-Hit Wonders

Pathetic Italians; I quess Paul Favs should have stayed off the sauce last night, and Go Bananas was just too much for Mike. They really should have beaten India.

Party at Lidder's house after the beer garden closes.

Germany Open

It was encouraging to finally compete again after a couple of sobering years. The Germans missed 4 main guys due to injury this year (7 guys in total unable to play), but some young guys stepped in big time. Yes, Germany had 5 "imports" due to lack of players this year (me included), but that will be corrected next year and a more true Germans will be on the pitch.

Ted Ullrich was awesome in a defensive mid roll, and Drew Smilie came up huge all weekend. 1 GA is a great accomplishment against Scotland, Canada, and England. Italian import Jason Pierotti scored 2 crackers and WAB even scored off a Bird bungle.

how's the casino?

Captain, the casino was outstanding. Friday eve after our (ahem) PK loss to India, quite the crew (Spada, JAGS, Dickens, both Carphs, HOS, etc), as I discovered upon waking Saturday morning, ended up spending the evening in the Sir M suite. And on Saturday eve, once again a few guys, as well as the Red Headed Garden Gnome, came back to the suite. Of course, instead or partying at the casino, we sagely decided to take a taxi to North Van to spend an entire 45 minutes at the Queens Cross...it seemed like a good idea at the time I suppose. In ant event, then back to the River Rock ($80 cab ride each way from the RR to the QC by the way). Most of us won $$ at the casino, which is a good thing as when Sir M checked out this morning, he discovered charged on his room bill the following items from our Friday evening guests' stay:

2 double pattie Triple Os and fries: $22.90

2 orders Pringles: $11.80

One order cheezies: $5.95

One "movie": $19.95

And one sprightly fullback wondering why his "pee-pee" was orange when he awoke on Saturday morning.

Oh yes, also a signed napkin which I ripped up this morning when you know who did not show up until half time. Ok, not ripped yet, just folded and put away for now.

Congrats to all Champions, and to the organizers: great tournament.

PS, the beer garden was especially good this aft IMO.

Sir M.
