2010 Langley Senior Spring/Summer League

I'm told that the league starts April 13th, and currently has 6 teams, standing out bigtime is the absence of the Greasy Muckers...

Nomads
FV
Dynamo
Young Lizards (Joint Athletics and Young Guns team)
a Team from Abby
amd either the Langley kids (U-18 IIRC) or a team from PoMo or PoCo...

The league is starting and ending quickly due to the BC Summer games or something happening in Langley in the latter parts of July through August and the fields being booked out for that.

Two burning questions with regards to the Muckers...
1. What happened to the Muckers FFS!? Guys sick and tired or Frase' cooler being filled with hose water not ice?
2. knvb getting sick and tired of playing against young bucks in full trackies and gloves in May and June?

I'd rather read ghouses thoughts on Saccer in Canada than chase around the kids in pants and gloves (Subby, seriously, sort that out) who seemingly get to their cars faster than RF to a post match buffet.

There is 2 brilliant grass pitches at the same complex... Wait...
The Langley Township close them in the summer for dog frisbee?
Aaaand one of them is now a bloody rugby pitch to boot.

Langley has many fields. They just need to change soccer leader. He has tomany people pisserd off. On top of it sends guys to do bad things. Some one needs to sit down with Sean boy and have a talk to talk with him. Soccer could do better with out biterness. Kick the ball and run. Line Backers can not get to it. Cheers have fun.

Utah, feel free man, we could use more guys... right now we are at 12-13 for sures and 20 guys that will drop in game to game, so another regular would be great.

Edit: Notice the Young Guns now on the sched, so who are these Salty Dogs?

Salty Dogs are some of the Abby guys...bit of a mixed bag...

So The Athletics/YoungGuns/LUFC Masters lot tied with FV 3-3 (Saw one team hang around for pints...)
Salty Dogs trotted out their Premier team to stomp us Nomads 8-2 or 8-3... I don't know about a mixed bag

Weather was spotty, therefore no good cooler/bbq stories to share from week #1.

Next week up:
Dynamo gets a crack at Abby/LUFC Premier
LUYSA (U-18 metro I think?) vs Young Master Lizards
And a repeat of the Finale last year with Nomads vs FV Alumni.

And hopefully a nice clear day
