Still waiting on the results from the other side of the draw to confirm who we will be playing. Just got word that NS won. So PEI needs to win tonight to advance, otherwise it'll be NS. When we find out someone will post and let ya know.
PEI it is apparently as PEI (1) beat PEI (2) 1-0 in the final group game... imagine being a part of that game as PEI (2) know if you tied it up, your province would not have a shot at Gold :)

Congrats to the SU Ladies who won the bronze this morning with a 4-0 ass-kicking of PEI - shitty that it was spotters that denied a chance for the gold (won by NS 2-1 over Alberta).

:(

Unlucky Gorge.

Read a bit of the updates on VISL site, tough to get through a final with those injuries and carded players.

PEI National Champions with zero goals conceded. Wow.

From the Voyageur site... not sure if it's true...

Churchill arms just beat Gorge FC 2 nil in extra time in the final in PEI. The ironic twist is that Churchill arms have apparently been playing with at least one and maybe 2 players whom played with other teams prior to the summer season transfer deadline. If this is true it will most certainly be an unfortunate and disgraceful turn of events; especially since the nationals were held on the Island.

Since the inception of Lewis Page to the Island a number of years ago their level of soccer for the smallest province in Canada has improved immensely. A number of quality players have come out of PEI. This event will no doubt be all that Churchill arms will be remembered for, which is sad. Unfortunately this is not the first or the last time the name Rob Diamond is associated with dodgy actions.

I hope for all the fans and legal players that worked so hard to achieve this monumental goal that this is nothing but a misunderstanding.

... just saying

Well done Gorge!

Well done, Gorge.......I think.

Unlucky to the Surrey United ladies, as I REALLY expected them to win it this year as they were by far the best team in our league last year. Well done on accounting yourselves well again.......
