I thought the AB were a bit of a dark horse here, considering I believe their core is the same group that was the class of the RSL Premier Open all those years. That's said, roll on, Delta!

From the brief minutes I saw of Delta I believe they are in VERY tough against Croatia.

Looks like 5 of the 8 quarter finalists are VMSL teams, two FVSL, and one VISL, the last three having had very good draws; the three non VMSL teams, including Delta, havent had to play a Metro team yet. RASA and BMSL teams did not take advantage of the expanded BCs qualification criteria this year and went 0-6 and out. Just looking, both Port Moody and Cowichan wont have to face a VMSL team until at least the semis, which is a very good draw for them. Thus far VMSL teams are 7-0 against teams from other leagues, so bettors are not coming out of the gate heavily backing the upstart Delta side so far.

I see Delta's roll coming no to an end, but that said, no better group of guys if they can upset Croatia.

If PM is healthy, they have a squad built to compete in today's much faster Masters Premier.

It looks like the quarter finals are now all set. Staff have come up with a few empirically based predictions:

PCOV is suddenly awakened to the fact that this is not a BMSL side they face this weekend. Hard Ballz is expected to be providing up to the minute updates

Metro Ford PCE (VMSL) 4 ICSF Columbus FC (VMSL) 2
The Columbus run ends ingloriously out in the bowels of Port Coquitlam this Friday

May 6, 4:00 PM, Dugald Morrison Turf
Delta United (FVSL) 0 Croatia SC (VMSL) 2
The clock strikes midnight for this Cinderella Delta team this Saturday

What a game!! ND score in the first 5 min on a gift from myself to their striker. They get two more and up 3-0. We get one back at about the 35ish mark and continue the pressure 3-1 at half. We come out in the second half just going for it and end up leveling it at 3-3. With about 7 minutes left they get a PK they scored and our center back was red carded on the play. They thought it was in the bag but we tied it up with about 4 minutes left. We then dropped to defensive mode but we got a corner with 2 minutes left and had everyone up. There was a scramble in the box and our center mid ripped into the back of the net for the winner .

It was such an amazing game to be apart of. ND lads were nothing but class after the game . The grill was going in full force with ribs and all. On to next week hopefully in Northvan.

Still gutted to lose that one. Cheers to PM for their heart and fight to come back. Blakeway MOTM for PM, easily KG MOTM for us. Blakeway killed us when he moved from centre-back to up front. It's like he's 20 again!
