Don't watch much tv so I was thinking of cancelling my cable. However I want to be able to watch sports when I feel like it. I've used streaming sites before but they're hit and miss. Does anyone have or heard of a good box like the Kodi Box or way of streaming live sports cleanly and successfully all the time?

Do you want to legally stream stuff?

Be aware that if you are a big social media user while watching streamed content, well, you are going to probably have to give up one of the other... there is a 30-60 second delay normally in live streamed content.

Legal is always nice but I do stream other stuff from specific websites. Not to big on social media but looking for Canucks games and what not. Heard the Kodi box is decent. I have Apple TV but no specific streams for guaranteed sports

Sportsnet Now is available w/o needing a cable subscription @ $25 per month - that will get you Canuck games I think (not clear on blackout rules when not using cable)... mobile apps available so you can airplay to your ATV - I have a chromecast which also works with their apps.

Cheers, trying to see if dropping my cable and getting streaming is worth it, or just to keep the cable. Seems keeping the cable is the sensible option in a way.

I was looking into it a while ago and decide to do a basic cable package with the sports package add on through telus. I like to be able to just flip the game on or record and watch it when I can instead of getting frustrated with streams.

Personally, I would hang tight until December when the cable/fiber incumbents are required to not only offer the skinny basic package but also offer up every channel ala carte - clearly they will make them expensive but you still may come out ahead.

I miss the old satellite card programing days

The old dish days where you got a code that opened every channel up, then you had to get codes for every channel, then it was codes every month for every channel. Then it was too much of a pain in the ass
