While Japan has been on cruise control since the WC and really is a top 10 squad, this was not a performance (from what I've read) Canada needs right now...

Welcome back to the dark ages...
Team will point at CSA saying they have no funding and the off field stuff distracts them from performing to their full potential.
The truth is, though, that we need a coach who can not only motivate this group and make them want to play for Canada, but also conceive of a way to approach games against top nations in the world. You can have top talent, but so do these other teams - that is what makes them top teams...
It is clear that Herdman was not going to be able to do that and Biello certainly is not the answer. Right now, though, were essentially just putting the guys out there and saying "Go for it! Hopefully we get it done."
Tight turnaround to these Copa America qualifying matches next window and I cannot think the mindset is great heading into them.
Also, one has to presume there is zero chance CSA gets its act together and hires a real coach before that. So I guess it is back to the old finger crossed routine...
