MacTavish played centre for 19 NHL seasons with the Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and St. Louis Blues. MacTavish later coached the Oilers from 2000 to 2009. He is known for being the last NHL player to play without a helmet. As a player won Stanley Cup with the New York Rangers in 1994.
