I know it's only the Commonwealth Games, and most of us probably couldn't give a shite about them, but by all accounts it's an absolute gong show. Is it really that surprising though??? Surely this had to have been a concern going in, and really should have been dealt with much sooner. Collapsing bridges, ceilings, human excrement around the village, dengue fever. Sounds like a blast!!!

The commonwealth games use to mean something. i can remeber being at the 1994 games in victoria and watching lindford christie of the UK break the 100 meter record. now aparently they are not even bothered with. why have them. with the olympics every 2 years, no one seems to care.

Really??? More so than the piles of crap (literally) all over the athletes village???

yes the goverment/union of delhi has tarnished the image . All that the piles of crap have done is changed the smell . Sadly India's opportunity to showcase thier capabilities has failed.. Unfortunatley the day India can do anything without corruption, will be when hell freezes over. The goverment misunderstood, It is evident they were hosting The Commonwealth Gains not games.. For a country looking to gain respect as an economic power it doesnt look to good when your competition (China) was able to do what they did in Bejing. They would be better off with communist system like China and develop than have a democracy and suffer at the hands of their current political class.

Those pictures are absolutely shocking. No way the games should be allowed to go on with accommodations like that. Its also shocking if athletes have to pay there own way to stay in something that looks like its been condemed. Countries have how long to prepare for the games and leave conditions like this? Id rather camp, than stay in that "athlete village"

They've only had 7 years to prepare, so it's understandable why they're running out of time. Apparently 10 years would have been more appropriate.

Polska? Bronco? Anyone home?......I'm interested to read your comments. You sure had a lot to say a few weeks ago....

Were the games perfect? Absolutely not. But they also weren't the diabolical catastrophe many predicted.
