I am thinking when he showed the agility that knowone knew he had.......back peddled to knock a sure goal away. I don't remember any blast. I am old though so there may have been one?? :D

Balsa:
Were you at our match?
I was too busy breathing out of my ass after 90 minutes to notice, sorry.

The best thing I can say about yesterday's game is the league is finished and on to getting focused on the Cup.

Congrats to the Highlanders who appear to have been the best team in the league for the last third.
You've got your shite together boys and I hope you carry it on into the run.
Well done to both PoCo teams as well, especially the Raiders who have made a very respectable showing after being promoted last year.
Alouette I think has also been a bright spot at times this year.
More consistency lads week to week I believe will spell out better dividends in the future for you.
Last but not least, kudos to Langley for avoiding relegation.
Even before their new signings, there is no way that team should be where they are in the standings at this point.

Best of luck to all you peckerheads in the Cup, hopefully we can provide some upsets.

Cheerio,

RF

I was there buddy, but I kept my distance as I didn't want to be a target of one of your rants.:D

I liked the way you handled the "porn star", how many times can a guy tackle from behind before someone gets pissed off. Doesn't that dude look like he should be in a 70's skin flick........ chicawowow :D

Poco City 4 - Sporting 3

Poco up 3-1 at the half. No quit in sporting. They battled back from 4-1. Full marks to playing with heart and class. Many teams would have folded and started hacking. Good match today boys.

Looking forward to the battle of Poco in a couple of weeks!!

All's Quiet on the Division 1 Front...

Sadly, only a few posts separate this week from last. What has happened to the witty repartee (and the odd threat of decapitation by coach) that used to spice up this website? Like many, I crave the crafty literary skills of Dude, Au Razor, RF, Coach, TheROB et al...where have all the lurkers gone? My proofreading skills are getting rusty with the lack of posts and the public school system is suffering as a result. In an effort to spice things up I offer the following:

1. The Rangers should be playing Premier!

2. Sean McGill is the mvp for DIV. 1 hands down. He has been unstoppable. (That was very difficult to write! My hands were fighting over the keyboard.)

3. The Black Nights have confused track and field with soccer.

4. The Centro-Americano squad has fallen apart despite the arrival of a Spanish saviour named El Nino who has kept the need for wool gloves to a minimum.

5. Poco City's current standing is shocking given the horrible way they played against the Highlanders this year.

6. The Delta Highlanders current standing is shocking given the horrible way they played against Sporting / Aldergrove / GEU this year.

7. The Poco Raiders have to be the surprise team of the year and deserve a lot of credit. I was also envious of their denim tracksuits and their exclusive deal with Seafarer jeans.

8. The North Delta Lions suck and stayed out of Div. 1 to avoid another victory over the Highlanders! (Hmmm.....I may have to reconsider that one....)

9. Crafty ****ney and Milhouse are currently working through therapy sessions hoping to mend a tattered relationship. All the Highlanders are keen to see these sessions succeed because as of right now Crafty has us playing next season at 7am Saturday mornings in the Kennedy Heights lawn bowling center.

10. Cartdriver and Halfvolley are just FRIENDS that share a mutual admiration. It is a deep-seeded admiration which occasionally sees them gaze wistfully at one another, torn by their conflicted emotions yet still curious about this forbidden love....(sorry N.B.!)

I hope the cup play (whenever Premier is good and ready!) brings about more banter because right now TAKETHEPISS seems to be suffering from a blockage in the urinary tract. Somebody pass the stone so that the pissing may commence yet again....

I'll elaborate

Track and field is usually performed on an oval track. It involves a alot of cardio vascular fitness, and not alot of skill or creativity. There are no balls in track and field, just running, mostly in straight lines, for the pure enjoyment of it. Track and field is usually not a team sport, mostly individuals doing there own thing for there own reasons.
Soccer on the other hand is a game, a team game. It involves a ball, It is played on a grass surface, the object is to outscore you opponents. To be good you can't just run fast or jump high Luc. You must have desire, passion, skill, creativity, steel, speed, leaders, movement, posession, and patience.
Luc I knew you would fit in well with a team like this. You run a great 100 meter dash:eek:

Balsa:
The whacking I Took from John Holmes in the back was indeed to say the least, very irritating.
That would be a whacking in the back with his feet not something else.
70s Porn Star - Hilarious. :D

Oscar:
For a guy stating there is no witty banter on here, you came out of retirement at the perfect moment.
I was wondering when the "de la" poster was making his comeback.
Like me good man Buckfast, you may not post often, but when you do - sheer brilliance. :D
I too have wondered about the ambiguously gay couple of CD and HV.
I beg to disagree on the "friends" bit.
My hunch is HV is the giver, CD the taker.

I'm off to practice for my track meet this weekend,

Quit with the flattery RF. You know my friggin' 2002 taxes will be going thru Dale Matheson Carr-Hilton.

Nothing like bucking-up for Keeper's 165th consecutive semester.

We are doing the Rangers a favor by not providing Langley a quality exhibition game. If we can't win the Cup I hope our Premier team;) or the Rangers do.

I can confirm HV is a taker, not a giver. I gave him grounds passes for the GVO a couple of years back when I couldn't make it, and I haven't seem my thank-you beer yet.

Fcuker.

BTW- who gets promoted? Millhouse- are you guys going to try and buy out your spot from Delta to go independent and move up?

Actually we do not need a win. We are already out of relegation due to the fact that Cento-Americano forfeit to us this past weekend and that would have been their last game. That also makes it 2 losses for them against us, therefore putting us ahead of them.

Does anyone know if the Poco Raiders are actually going to go
0-35 next year?? It's just a rumour that I heard and trying to confirm it. If this does happen wouldn't it change how many get relegated?

Sad case of boredom on TTP

Dude, those tickets were from you? 3 years later...Thanks. Really we should hit a pub one of these days. You do still do that even though you havea wife/kids right?

You sad sad people with nothing better to do but but pick on Ace and Gary. Really RF I just checked off your mama of the things to do this year in 2003. I've been so pro-active this year you know, getting things off, err I mean done. J/K.

Oscar settle yourself next to the kareoke and sing to Barbara Streisand/ Elton. We won't know which of the two you like singing to more. My guess is Elton, but its anyones guess. "You don't bring me flowers anymore...
Any idea when the exhibition game will be this weekend?

Also just working the crowd.

Gotta go run my 1500m and practise my long jump. Luc did I not tell you we'd beat your ass. I even gave you 2 goals in my 3-2 prediction. Keep working on passing that baton, your team may appreciate it one day.
