I thought this was interesting. Found it on the Bundesliga site. By no means am I saying its the best league.

"With the clock ticking down towards EURO 2008, there will be more players heading to the finals from the Bundesliga than any other league.

In all, 65 professionals earning their bread in Germany have been included in the preliminary squads for the tournament in Austria and Switzerland (7 to 29 June). 22 of those are German, with 43 coming from the other competing nations.

Those figures put the Bundesliga well ahead of the other top European leagues - England, Spain and Italy. 44 players, at most, will represent the Premier League, the Primera Division will have a maximum of 43 players at the finals and Serie A 38 at best.

Hmmmm.
Austria and Switzerland were given their berths in the Euros this time as host countries.
Does anyone know what language people speak in Austria and Switzerland?
How close in proximity would these two countries happen to be to Germany?

 :D ;)

Just remember Wolfgang, you're all Swiss and Austrian aren't you?
Really - At the end of the day and all that's always been your story no? :D

Rework your numbers with the Swiss and Austrians in the Bundesliga and get back to me on your alarming stat.
Just a hunch I have. ;)

Cheers,
RF

Italy vs Germany final.

Luca Toni with the golden boot.

Italian midfield, and Toni is too much to deal with.

Also the same core defenders of the 06 championship side.

Cannavaro, Materazzi, Grosso, Zambrotta.

Regs - I hope this is okay but it is in support of the club. :)

Surrey United are selling a Euro Cup Draw "pick-the-winners" for $10 each with a chance of winning $500. All proceeds will go towards our trip to Newfoundland for Nationals. I have attached the PDF of the form and if you are interested, please PM me.

Cheers!!

Yes Lion, that's why zzzGermanzzz are the oddsmakers' favourites...

Luca Toni will NOT win the golden boot; the Portuguese crybaby will.

Here's hoping Italia goes out after the first round so I get a chance to actually sleep at night...:rolleyes:
