ya know, i had a friend ask me yesterday if brasil was going to miss neymar. i said of course, but there going to miss silva more. luiz is a roaming CB. Dante is slow, maicon is a 100 and marcelo thinks he's a striker. Silva held that defense together. hence why he is or was the cap.
Let me tell you "Brazil House" at the Butcher & Bullock was a ghost town after the match, however they were partying hard three hours after the Colombia game Friday... #onlysingwhenthey'rewinning
Am stuck in Toronto laying over. Went to at a local pub and sat at the bar for a bite and a couple of the local Toronto guys were commenting on the game:
"I cannot believe that Brazil got scored on so many times, their goalie(sic) plays for TFC!!"
Germany is not that good; this is all on Brazil. Extremely poor defending. in fact, they were quite lucky during the group stage. Their fullbacks (Marcello, Alves, Maicon) were irresponsible defensively since the first game but the other teams respected Brazil too much and missed to explore the weaakness Brazil has been constantly showing. When they lost Thiago Silva that was the end even before the semi-final game.
Also, it was obvious that without Neymar Brazil could not do anything. I have no idea how Fred got a spot and I simply cannot believe that Brazil does not have a better forward than him.
