Div 1 [FVSL Division 1] Results & Banter - December '04/January '05

DFC 3 Raiders 1.

Good win on a tough day to play. Wet conditions made for a mucker game. The Raiders are always a tough team to play and we did well to get the 3 points on their home pitch. On to Langely premier next week.

for those that care langley 1 sporting 1 and i think sporting was lucky to get any result from this .langley had div 2-3 players helping out and a u-21 keeper sporting did not and could not take advantage of this good hard work from the langley lads

Thanks Coach & Rangerforever & the Rangers we needed that! Now beating the Raiders puts us tied for first with Aldergrove.

we (langley) had 3 players that have played every game this year, the rest was a mix and match that seemed to work pretty well. 3 cat players came out along with what george said, made a big difference. Now if only we could find the net when its wide open.

Delta Metro United 0 @ Port Moody Fury 2

Pretty interesting game, We went up 1-0 early on a nice rip from the 18 and then with 15 minutes left in the half one of our defenders went in a little too hard and a little too late and JB gave him a red and we held off for the rest of the half and then came out in the second still playing pretty good and they had a bit more possession than us but we were definitely playing strong for down a man and ended up not giving up one shot all game except for a free kick right at the top of the 18 near the end that they were trying to get a rebound chance on that our goalie caught. We ended up getting another one in the final 5 minutes on a transition rush which made life a lot easier and that was that.
