I have no problem with using callups. Just funny that they changed the game time to accomodate it, if that's the case. We occassionally use callups as well. Typically only if we know we will be short on bodies though. Not as a week in and week out thing. Don't think it's fair to the guys who train with us week in and week out to lose playing time to part timers. But to each their own.

Actually truth be told...Alumni moved the game to turf for fear of rain-out on grass and once the Legends found out wanted to move their game up to 10am because of the Grey Cup. As for call ups...there are 2..one of them hasn't played with us for a month and the other plays both games even if they are back to back OR the day after. We are currently both fighting over him for the transfer deadline...LoL...I think hes holding out for the highest bidder!! Makes for intersting changeroom banter over a few pops.. We certainly didnt move the games to accomodate 1 player...both teams are strong enough and should compete with anyone regardless of missing a few bodies.
Ajax....whining? Yes right after the cleats up tackle that nearly broke one of our guys legs. Did your guy intend to or perhaps just bad timing? Who knows? Our issue was with the ref...You call it diving we call it hacking. Depends how you look at it I suppose...we can agree to dissagree...frustration was abundant on our side simply because of all the time we spent in your half with no result....simple.
All in all a typical day in Masters Football.

Promotion? Who on earth wants that? Trying to keep up with guys 10 years younger sounds like more like punishment to me.
It is conceivable that the 4th or 5 th place team gets promoted simply because everyone else turns it down..
