OK, I'll get the ball rolling ...

Premier
South Delta 3-1 North Delta SC Rangers
Peace Arch United 4-0 Langley United Alumni A
Peace Arch Dragons 5-1 Delta United
White Rock United 0-3 Poco Castillians FC
Temple United 4-1 South Surrey FC A

Div 1
North Delta SC United 2-1 NFS Saints
South Surrey FC B 0-2 Peace Arch FC Legends
Peace Arch Rangers 3-1 NFS Razorbacks
Surrey Heat 0-3 NFS Thunder
Chilliwack FC Rapids 3-1 Aldergrove United
Peace Arch United Alumni 4-1 Surrey FC Caps
Langley Unted Alumni B 1-4 Poco Dominion FC

Really no good insight on any match as most teams I've heard about have made a lot of changes. I think the Premier games are easier to call, but who knows.

It's a bloody pain typing now the addition of teams appears to have made the team names even longer - has no-one got any imagination? Next year maybe we'll get "{insert club} United Alumni Soccer Club B Team Speedsters"

In my opinion poco hands down are favorite to win the league if slater can keep all the players he brought in happy,I hear delta rangers will be a strong contender as well as the dragons picking up brent & griffiths

In div one I'm sure poco are also the team to beat, but Sid & crew will be pushing hard with HURREN & captain Simmons to fight for promotion!the league ask us were we interested in premier spot !but as we all know a hard earned promotion tastes better

Langley is looking a bit skint on players at the moment... Anyone know if more are just waiting to sign? Could be a long year with just 12.

Regardless, big club BBQ planned for our match this weekend and then the Premier match following.

Who knew taste mattered to sid? I do think the Sid's crew needs to sign a few more players, 25 might not be enough to win the league. I did see you picked up a few old poco players though, that should help some.

I think it will be tight at the top of the standings like last year but I have a feeling the bottom teams are in for a long year. to bad we can't get enough for a third div.

Too bad we don't have enough for a premier division either.

If we could throw away the first ten seconds of the game, and the last 30 seconds of the game, South Delta would have had a comfortable 2-0 win over North Delta, but since those time periods unfortunately count it was a 2-2 tie. North Delta started the season with a record that will probably never be broken in getting their first goal 10 seconds (three passes) into the game. They had pretty good pressure for a few more minutes before a wild and woolly reminder of the half. South Delta hit the cross bar twice, both teams blew breakaways, both team had goals called back for offside. South Delta did tie it up on a penalty to go into the half at 1-1.
Ultimately we figured that North Delta's play to get their goal was worth a shot, so we tried it at the start of the second half, but we were not as successful, as it took us 15 seconds to score. We probably had a bit more of the play, but couldn't get that all important third goal and it came back to bite us in the butt as North Delta scored with 30 seconds left in the game. We figure this is just the first of many tight games this season.
On another note, it turns out that we are old and fragile, as we lost three players to injury in our first game. At this rate we will should be out of players by Week 8.

Ladnerdad,

The perfect segue for North Delta to blame the ref for the tie. Thanks for the beer cans by the way. We plan on returning them for ice packs and ben gay.
