Here we go Shamrock it's time to prove you worth to some of the low rollers around here in the first annual Shamrocks race to $50. (Or $100.00.) All you need is $20 bucks, a Will Hill account and a WHOLE LOT of luck. Or one tre-men-dous NAP.

-$10.00 buy-in to Will Hill
-$10.00 to the pot.

First to make $50.00 (or $100.00) wins the pot and of course his own $50.00 (again or $100)
Once your $10.00 is gone you're out.
No exact copycat bets
Must bet at least $5.00 per week.
Last man standing wins the pot if the $50/$100 isn't made.

Dutch Doorknob's Will Hill Survivor did have the same ring.

Power et al, I'm thinking it should be a free fer all. You may make any bet Will Hill has to offer, but remember you only have $10.00 to start and it's also a survivor deal. If the total $50.00/$100.00 isn't met the last man with coin wins.

The few simple rules I can think of to make it fair are...

- You must bet a min. of $2.50 per bet.
- You must bet at least once a week.
- No copy cat bets.
- All bets to be posted here with account balance.

Suggested rules. Please offer up an opinion...

- 2 or 3 month time limit. With the highest money total winning.
- Max bet amount? (Perhaps you can only bet half the total of your account??)
- No dogs or horse bets? (Captain)
- What goal does everyone feel comfortable with? $50 or $100.

Am I missing any loop holes? I would like to start betting Friday or Saturday Feb 14/15. so comments and suggestions are welcome. I'll also create a thread for all the bets to be placed and even a side bet thread and poll for who we think will be first out.(OD.)

Given the fact that it's 7:30am at present, Will Hill isn't actually open for my enquiries. Neither is Coral across the road because I just had a shufty out the window and the usual suspects are still queuing up outside. I hate to see my Dad like that.

Anyway, I can (and will) comment on the current meteorological conditions and say a few words about the weather too. It's cold today and crisp underfoot. I'll write the word crisp but never say it as if there's a more homosexual word than crisp I've yet to hear it. Apart from, maybe, feltching. Given these conditions, I believe Sandown might be affected by ground frost so this should be taken into consideration on your Bongo punt. Consider whether your horse likes the heavy going or whether Bongo is a fair-weather philly. The jockey may also have to wear mittens. And you should never trust a jockey in mittens, should you?

Another factor that will in no way influence the running of the Sandown 2:50 is that by that time I'll be quite pissed. It's Friday and come 1:00 it's time to pile into the pub for what North Americans would call a team-building exercise.
