THis years Canadian championships are being held at Hastings Park and are ongoing now.

My nephew plays (sparingly) for hastings who are the host. They are 5-0. Whalley is the BC champs and they are 4-1 having lost to Hastings. Rest of teams are a level below.
What is amazing is the games are all live webcast with commentary and how well setup the tourney is. they had 2500 at the park one day.

Winning team gets to go Williamsport for the little league world series and playing against some 17 year olds from the Dominican.

HAstings and Whalley are clearly a level above the rest of the teams.

the 3rd place quebec team lost by a combined 15 runs against the 2 bc teams. while Quebec beat the 4th place team by 10.

If they installed Bike lanes in Whalley is it still called a bike lane or would it be called A Crack Head Highway?

Nephews home run from the victory over Japan. 3pm today vs Korea for game 2 after a rainout yesterday.

Nice! remember when Japan was killing us 20 years ago? Baseball in Canada has improved leaps and bounds.

So what does Canada soccer need to do to mimic this improvement? Any ideas to steal?

My kids team had an exhibition a month or so ago against Hastings and they were very good. They threw their ace (Loreto Siniscalchi) against us and the kid throws some serious heat - easily in the early - mid 80's which if you do the conversion (46' - 60'-6"), is over 100 mph. Kid can hit as well .....
