MVP Eh!

ESPN reports that Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash will be named the NBA's Most Valuable Player on Sunday. Nash edged Miami center Shaquille O'Neal to become just the third point guard in 40-plus years to win the honor. The Victoria, B.C., native took a team that struggled to 29-53 last season, to a league-best 62-20 this year, while doling out a league-leading 11.5 assists a game.
Only the 3rd point guard in 40 years, and the first Canadian. Nice work for a guy with terrible hair.

If it is , Congrats....

Not bad, a White Canadian Kid with bad hair winning MVP.

After all the Island slagging going on in here, it's nice to see that Nash is still considered a local boy.

It is official, Steve Nash MVP. What an incredible day for Basketball Canada, and Canadians in general. Congratulations Steve, we are all very proud!

Can you imagine what could have happened with the Grizz if they would have selected Nash instead of BIG Country in that draft year. Perhpas he would never have turned to be MVP, but it might have done lots for the game in Vancouver and Canada.
Good on him, only the third guard in the last 40 years to do it, not bad.
