Im wondering if we will see anything of Schnieder as a result of this. He's been lighting it up in the AHL I guess

This isn't as bad as we all thought in our druken stuppor on Saturday.

I think we'll see a lot of the kid now. Stanford more often, but Schneider will be the starter I think.

This is the acid test the Nucks needed. There is a silver lining.
1) Schneider will get some stage time, this is good to see if he has a future with the Nucks, or becomes a saleable asset for Gillis in potential trades.
2) we get to see how the Nucks can/will do without him.
3) Does this have any effect on whether Sundin signs here or elsewhere in the next 2-3 weeks?

I kind of agree JBN on the Schneider point. if he come in andplays great then his value goes up and the Canucks will have a tough choice. if he comes in and plays so so or say bad then his value goes down and no one will want him.

Wait till tonight when they announce that the injury is worse then they thought as his MRI results didn't come out till this afternoon and managment never discussed any results yet with the media as they are fearing the worsed...don't know were 4-5 weeks came from

the 4 to 5 weeks has apparently come from luongo's agent, and was being reported by a Montreal newspaper, La Presse?

and from reading spectors column on sportsnet.ca, its sounding like its going to be longer than the 4-5 weeks

Pratt & Taylor just got word from the Nucks that Luongo is listed with an Abductor Groin Injury and is "week to week" whatever that means.

Luango is out for atleast six weeks with groin injurie. If he comes back sooner he could endup missing rest of the year. Corry is just as capable. He can do the job if Curtis can not. We will be fine. The club has got depth. That is one thing Burkie and side kick did well.

Week to week is what I've heard. That could mean really long time if they are covering something serious or maybe in fact a few weeks.
JBN I agree with you. Silver lining for both backup keepers. If they get on a roll look out!
