one more point!!!!!!!! :D

Liverpool's claim as the most successful team in England is truly under threat. Find something else to sing about!

18 league titles to 18 league titles! (if it wasn't for that lucky Champions League title back in 2005 we would be leveling that # as well come the 29th)

Liverpool:
Premier League: 0
First Division: 18
1900–01, 1905–06, 1921–22, 1922–23, 1946–47, 1963–64, 1965–66, 1972–73, 1975–76, 1976–77, 1978–79, 1979–80, 1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84, 1985–86, 1987–88, 1989–90

Man United:
Premier League: 10 (one more point and it will be 11)
1992–93, 1993–94, 1995–96, 1996–97, 1998–99, 1999–2000, 2000–01, 2002–03, 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008-2009?
First Division: 7
1907–08, 1910–11, 1951–52, 1955–56, 1956–57, 1964–65, 1966–67

Quirky statistic brought up by the Guardian newspaper.

Ferguson's rivals must take their comfort where they can. Benítez was complaining again at the weekend about United's superior financial resources, but as he prepares for another season of attempting to outwit Ferguson the Liverpool manager may be encouraged not just by the knowledge that his team have lost only two league matches this season to United's four defeats, but by a quirkier statistic showing that the 36 titles shared by the two clubs, going back to 1901, have come in an order that suggests a sort of football version of the Fibonacci sequence.

First Liverpool won two, then United won two. Then Liverpool won three, after which United won three. Liverpool's sixth was followed by United's sixth, and their seventh by United's seventh. Then Liverpool won 11, followed by 11 for United. To maintain an elegant symmetry that has lasted more than a century, Liverpool must be the next to win the title – a thought that will not impress Ferguson.

Giggs is shite compared to Torres.
Forgot to mention that Torres at the age of 24 already has around 65 Caps for Spain (The best team in the world at the moment). Euro title under his belt. Won the Euro titles for U 19 and U 16. Still young, he will win trophies for Liverpool in the upcomings seasons.

There's the typical daft scouse response we've all been waiting for

What trophies do you think he'll win at Liverpool over the next few years before his hamstrings blow up ?? The Carling Cup or maybe even the FA Cup ??

There's nobody in any domestic league in the world that can touch what Giggs has accomplished at United. Possibly Maldini but if memory serves me correctly, he hasn't won the Scudetto more than 5 or 6 times ....

Giggs has done well over his years domestically for Man U. To compare Giggs to Torres as of right now is stupid. Torres is still has not hit his peak and to compare stats of the two doesnt make sense as of right now doesnt make sense.

Benitez has full control of the transfers now, with some good additons to the squad, LIVERPOOL WILL WIN THE PREMIER LEAUGE.
