Looking for players for the World Police & Fire Games in New York this Summer.
The Tournament runs from August 27th - September 3rd.
You have to be 35 by the start of the Tourney.
You need to be Firefighter, Policeman, or Corrections.

That is true I think Regs but I believe 7 or 8 of them caught on with various teams, was just wondering who Deuce caught on with if he did catch on with anyone...I believe there is a team from Brurnaby, a team from Vancouver and a team from North Shore going....M.

Hurricane Irene is supposed to land overnight and into the morning Sat eve/Sunday morning. All transit and bridges are supposed to be getting shut down starting early afternoon.

The state of emergency has been lifted and the games start today. My is room mate who is an occasional TTPer and member of the flying horses, is due to play in three hours, hasn't yet registered, and making the walls shake with his snoring currently.

The North Van team is 2-0 thus far...fairly easy games yesterday 4-0 and 6-1 margins of victory...but tomorrow should be a different story with two games...tomorrow's opponents California Police and a Latin American team...

It was actually 7-1 in the second game. Lost to a pretty good Brazil police team this morning 3-1. We play California this aft and if we win we are through. Not sure how Vancouver Fire is doing, the tournament is very disorganized so it is tough to find out results. Also, no showers, bathrooms, concession, transportation, scarce water and organizers, refs don't speak English (none of them). But worst of all...no beer garden!
