A little late because I haven't been able to access my source. I'm going with a tough 20 horse field for the Next Best bet. The odds should be at least 6/1.

Smart Hostess in the 3:35 at Ripon.

This horse has the lightest weight in the race and has won 2 of its' last three races. It is best ignoring his last outing because there were a few problems with the horse AND it got a diabolical run and was boxed out several times during the race. This 6 furlong sprint will be decided by a decent draw and it is drawn in the 9 stall. I'm going against the Racing Post' NAP here(Consensus - that's the name of the horse) but I have a hunch on this one.

NAP - Allimac - 3:15 at Ascot - Two firsts, a 2nd, and a 3rd in its' last four races.......Its' trainer is good form right now too......

I must admit that I didn't find anything that I REALLY liked so I wouldn't go crazy, Power, on these picks. :)

NAP - Valley Henry - 2:35 at Aintree

NB - Cara Fantasy - 3:20 at Leceister

The NB will be a poor price but might be worth adding to the NAP.

What's this that I see on Willhill that Aintree is fantasy betting? Do they actually race or is it makebelieve?

Jinky,

I believe I have it narrowed down to three, but it is not even sure if they are going to run yet.

Youllneverwalkalone is not only a great name but has had some solid wins lately, with the last coming in the Cheltenham Festival the day after we left Belfast. Of course in a field this large, anything can and probably will. In a race like this, very few punters would not NAP up a horse but rather try and narrow it down.......

As an each way bet, I might throw something down on a 40/1 shot. Its' name is Ballinclay King. Over the last 4 races it has finished no lower than 4th and won a strong race two races ago.

For my last pick, it is hard to look past Iris Bleu . Martin Pipe and Tony McCoy are usually an excellent combination in the big races. Over its last 4 races, it has been in the top 4 too, winning 2 of them. Despite losing to Shotgun Willy in its last race, it had a lot of bad racing luck and with a half-decent trip, should be able to turn the tide.

At the end of a day, there will only be about 10 horses that will finish the race and if any of the three are there at the end, then that is a good bit of NAPping! :)

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up highhhhh
