It's going to be an exciting year in Div.2!

Does anyone know how the promotion and relegation works this year?

Thanks and good luck.

Proposal for 2011-2012

Premier – 12 teams
Division 1 – 12 teams

2011 season will be relegated to Division 1.
b) The top team in the Division 1 standings at the end of the 2010-2011 season will
be promoted to the Premier Division.
c) The bottom 2 teams in the Division 1 standings will be relegated to Division 2.

which 2 teams will be promoted.
e) The bottom 3 teams in Division 2—the last place teams in each of the 3 groups—
will be relegated to Division 3.
f) The top 3 teams in Division 3 (the winners of each of the 2 groups plus the
winner of a play-off game between the 2 second-place teams) will be promoted
to Division 2.

Dezza, the core Primo players have joined Pt. Grey. The move just about happened last year as we knew numbers were tight. As I recall, the first game vs NK last year we had 7 players, thanks MF.

I am pretty sure you can remove Sikh Temple from the relegation list as I understand it isn't the same Div 2 team they had last year but rather most of their relegated Div 1 squad. Supposedly they are waiting to see if a couple of key players sign. I haven't seen much Div 2 soccer over the last few years but based on last years results and if you're looking at most players sticking with their teams 2B should be a tough side with UBC, Bombastic, Polonia, and possibly even Sikh Temple, Hurricanes in the thick of things and who knows about MYB Panthers they strolled through Div 3 last year.

Shaheen should roll through the division if they can play like last year barring they can keep the likes of Club Punjab, Sarjevo, Romania and GN Sporting, off their back. Failing to do so could leave it for clubs such as Squamish and Ladner Rangers to steadily climb their way into contention.

Indeed the PG Rangers have added 8 Primos I believe. A welcome addition as div 2 will be MUCH tighter this year! Good luck to all...except the Socceroos of course.

So PGR is now Belmont + Knights + Primos... why don't you add a couple of Norvan JBs and NK Hrvat guys while you're at it, and go all Div2 circa 2006? :p

You guys should be making a run at the Masters division I think :)

Ahhh Dezza...the Knights ARE the Masters team and with their promotion and cup win last year I do believe they're acquitting themselves quite nicely :) JB's are welcome any time but we'll leave The Train out for now.

Dezza, we have Bandcamp + 1 other who are representing the 40+ yr olds on Point Grey, but the majority of our squad doesn't qualify for O-35s. Most guys are in the late 20's early 30's. I managed to pick up an orange card this year as I hit the magical 35, but I'll stick around Point Grey for a few more years methinks. We realize that Division 2 this year will be better soccer and the Primo core boys are a welcome addition. If we went into the season with the same crew from last year, we would have issues winning for sure. Whatever happened to the JBs anyway? And like Bandcamp said, we could always stock a couple of JBs...

I disbanded the remaining Div2 team after the 2008-2009 season which saw us CAT with our other Div 2 team(WVan Royals and the Norvan Lions took some and Norvan 0'35). Previous to that season we were on the decline with several players going to Wickham(Div1 and Masters), Norvan O'35(NSCL), injury, school, Australia.

Norvan really needs a VMSL Masters presence but it doesn't look likely for another 1-2yrs.

What, still no love for NK? C'mon guys, you could be the Point Grey Train with Watcher conductin' thangs up front for you!

Do you still have your superstar, "Joey"? Ask him if he'd like to come for a Div 1 tryout
