What do the various VMSL & FVSL clubs provide their men's teams with? equipment? registration? uniforms? fields? sponsorships?

In Delta, we are supplied with a home pitch (Friday nights at JO)and a practice pitch (Mackie turf, 2hrs Tues).

The team is self sufficient otherwise. We charge each guy $100 for registration and we use fundraising, sponsorship and the beer fund to cover all other costs.

Friday night home games have always kept us in the club, but this past year the club attempted to attract another team with our Friday night spot.

Now the club is charging us $500 for field use and light time.

Moving a team to another club is difficult (see N.Delta Lions & Whalley Storm) because you forfeit the divisional spot you occupy.

Any clubs looking for a quality FVSL Div 1 side for 2003??????:(

Start by getting a second strip for your premier side, so the visiting team isn't scrambling to find an alternate strip last minute........

Alittle off topic

This is sort of an unofficial pole but:

What does your team charge for the winter season?
What does the team provide to they players?
What sort of fundraising does the team do?

This goes out to all TTPer in all leagues.
State your team,league and division.

Actually our club is.
We need a CAT team and we are looking to restructure our men's program next year for various reasons.
However, all additions are subject to our Chairman's approval.

If anyone's out there looking for a change, please PM me.

What does your team charge for the winter season?

Registration for Croatia A and B is paid for by the club.

What does the team provide to they players?

Beer after games is provided by Croatia SC as well extra beer provided by some generous fans. They also have a physio therapist to tape ankles and give massages...I forget her name though. Back when I first joined Croatia A in '88 we also had boot money for two pairs of of boots and dinner and drinks after every home league game. Team bags, trining kit and a physio therapist. Our home pitch was also Swanguard... That doesn't happen anymore...

What sort of fundraising does the team do?

Pub nights, dances, picnics which are suppoted very well by the Croatian community.

pretty good for over 30

Team: Peace Arch "Old Bastards"

Price to play: $100 per player - to support the cause and keep things up to snuff in the bank account. (believe me there's a bank account$$$$)

Beer: we don't play without it! Plus other spirits always a must! Watch out for the All Blacks O30 they have very little money and have pilferred from many a cooler in the league.

Kit: well we choose from four kits blue, red, white, black, plus a mix and match of socks...Track suits, fleece, wind breakers, and more to come.....

Training: is on the Turf...

Change Rooms: Best change rooms anywhere....

Fields: excellent quality parks in South Surrey.....

Socials: as many as we can fit in!!!!:D

PA O30 trying to keep up to the big clubs like Britanna O40 great bunch of lads!!!!!:D :D :D :D
